Excellent cover to cover

What did you love best about Fierce Conversations?

The book was immediately applicable, (and helpful) with a real situation in my work place. My 'fierce' conversation needed to occur within days of buying and listening to the book, so I was an avid listener to be sure, but I'll be listening again soon. Loved the thread of humor woven throughout the book, the examples and flow in general.

Who was your favorite character and why?

No character in this book, but there were ample examples of situations between both work type relationship characters and personal life characters. Great balance of both sides of most everyone's life 'coin'.

Which scene was your favorite?

I loved the chapter on "learn to deliver the message without the load", (chapter 5). Everyone should read this, (we'd all be having more peaceful and meaningful conversations!)

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

No, just the happy feeling of learning something of value. Love it when that happens!

Any additional comments?

One of the best books I've read in a long time.

Second time is a charm!

I am done with my second listen. This is a practical guide to difficult conversations for everyone. I plan to listen again. The author provides a methodology for applying these conversations. I recommend this book to anyone who speaks to other humans. ;-)

I do not think that this question applies to this particular book. This book should be required reading for leaders, supervisors, employees, couples, everyone.......

Yes....truth is always fascinating.

Recommend that others listen to Fierce Leaders by the same author.

The real life situations and how to best handle.

Which scene was your favorite?

The impact conversations can have not only in the work place but also in their personal lives. Bad behavior usually translates to ones home life.

No.

Slow starter, but lots of original content

I wasn't sure I would stick with this book after the first couple of chapters, but I am glad I did. The content was new to me and I read a lot of personal development books. I'm glad it was narrated by the author. Her authenticity came through.

Build more reminders of structure in the audio

Can't think of one now. I'll take back some of the structures to prepare conversations.

Must read. Must implement.

Excellent wisdom on how to engage in helpful conversations that enable you to give yourself and your team the best chance for mutual success. For those who hate conflict this book takes all conflict out l, so you communicate well. For those of us who love conflict this book allows you to engage people without blowing them out of tour life. I intending to take this book step by step and say by day to fully implement however long it takes. And like most classics, I believe anytime I get stuck with someone the ideas in this book are going to helpful me get unstuck as much as it depends on me.
