I like the guy but this was more about telling his story than actual knowledge about FB marketing
The authors down to earth approach to being in business, life and advertising on the internet, especially Facebook
It is real, Real person, real failures, real victorys, real struggles, real life.
Admits he has, does and will most likely continue to make mistakes - and learn from them.
More competently promote my business and the businesses of my clients and associates.
It was not what I wanted but exactly what I needed. Highly recommended first Facebook book for “Mawr and Pawr”, small shop, local services or little brick and mortars. Listen to this before you start advertising with Facebook. Not a technical book, gets a little slow in places but stick with it and finish it. You won’t be sorry. Will save you many times the purchase price and time spent listening.
7 hours and One single recommendation, make videos... the rest is pure motivational talk... don't be afraid, be honest, be enthusiastic, etc, etc
Just finished listening 2nd time (for now). Definitely in my top five best audiobook listens ever (out of many dozens). Very real, very clear, very helpful. It's amazing to realize that it's unscripted.
Husband and Father of 2 boys, live in Los Angeles, been listening to books on tape for decades, mostly non-fiction.
No. I found this to be condescending, stretched out and off topic.
Get right to the point of the book, in the beginning of the book. Keep your liberal vegan issues out of the book. I want to learn about FB Marketing, now what you do for what you think is spiritual.
Maybe, but highly skeptical now. Speaker sounded immature and weak.
Anger, felt condescended to. I am a meat eater and this guy starts off by talking about how being a vegan is the Why of his life. That is WAY Off Topic and makes me highly skeptical of the remainder of the book.
I want my money back. I will apply the refund to a REAL book about marketing. They WHY is to make money, that is why people market hello. FACEBOOK is one of the richest and greediest companies in the world, why not lecture them on the WHY of business. The why is to feed my family. My morals and spiritualty are a separate issue.
"Very slow moving and a bit dull"
I have listened to a lot of audiobooks around this subject and this one was hard going. I gave up about halfway through as his slow drawl was quite annoying to listen to and focus on the points he was making. I think he probably had some great points to make but I found it hard to focus.
"Entertaining useful audiobook"
Jerry and he is the only character in the book (it's non fiction)
I've watched/listened to several of Jerry's other courses on Skillshare and off his own website and this was was entertaining to listen to and also the truthful non sugarcoated message was great to hear from someone who's actually been there and non Facebook adverting successfully after a lot of trial and error.
It made me think and analyse my own business model and come up with a new strategy for Facebook video adverting.
This is the first audio book I've listened to from Jerry Banfield. I've been following Jerry for a while now off his own website and Skillshare and I thought I'd give his audiobook a try. There is some great honest information and Jerry is also fun to listen to (it's the author who also narrates the book)
I've since purchased his YouTube audiobook and I'm excited to listen to this and to implement his technical advice for this also.
"Rambling waffle with no content"
This is not a structured book giving you considered steps and advice to improve your knowledge and marketing skills. Instead its a long winded freestyle dialog. Jerry continuously repeats himself and doesn't get down to the nitty gritty. Thoroughly disappointing!
"A Great Listen"
I really enjoyed listening to this book.
I bought the book to hear more about Jerry and his story. Chapter numbering seems off though.
The 19 second title intro sequence Audible count as chapter 1.
This means that Jerry's true chapter 1 - an hour plus in length - he describes as chapter 1 but it is numbered by Audible as chapter 2 (in the chapter listings). As long as you know this, it does not detract from the book at all - in fact, I think, it adds personality to the work.
Part of the message of the book is that we are all human and can and should always keep learning so, maybe it is actually a great way to demonstrate this principle.
Get it and give it a listen!
