Facebook marketing may not save your business, but it can certainly be a fast, effective, and rather cheap way to reach new customers and turn those customers into lifelong, die-hard fans.

I'm a reader, but I've been finding myself on the go a lot more lately. Audible to the rescue.
I've already listened to the Rogan's Twitter book and enjoyed it. I had a long commute yesterday so I thought I'd knock this one out as well.
Twitter (IMO) is more powerful for an online business because twitter connections are more diverse and it is relatively easy to drive traffic by sending your links out into the "twitterverse."
My interest with Facebook is to help promote my brick and mortar local business. I thought Rogan provided a lot of good insights and after listening to this program in the car, I couldn't wait to get home and put some things into action.
One thing I appreciated was he actually explained what the different ads do and which ones show up on the newsfeed. That's important b/c more and more people are starting to use mobile. I've noticed driving traffic to my website that about half of Facebook referrals are mobile users. So, if you're paying for ads it would be better to have 100% of people seeing them opposed to 50% of desktop users.
Overall, well worth the $5. I don't do any video marketing, but I might listen to that book anyway b/c I've been thinking it would be a good idea and so far I've liked Rogan's work.
I learned more in this fairly short book than in all the other books I've read on Facebook marketing. Mainly because the rest of them tell you to either be genuine and present at all times or to automate everything (bad idea). Mr Rogan gives you a wheelhouse of ideas and techniques. He even makes Facebook advertising, apps and events easier to understand. I've been using the ideas and changing my pages and have seen an increase in traffic and likes and business. Great book as is the rest of the series.
Filled with great introduction to Twitter but also filled with actionable steps. Because it includes detailed steps and actions, get a copy of the book so you can use it as a checklist.
The author gets to the point quickly, hits with some concrete advice, and moves on. He isn't trying to convince you he knows what he's talking about, instead he leads by example. The book does not drone on and on.

The simplicity and directness of the content.
The section about focused marketing, I applied this and had astounding results in my business. Not for advertising but for locating difficult to find supplies for my business.
Facebook was a tool in which I had no use or understanding because I am not a social person. I concentrate on my business and not with social friendships so I had a difficult time understanding why anyone would want to use facebook. Since my focus is on business I needed to learn how to use facebook for my business and now after this book, I understand how to use the social network to reach people obsessed with communication with their friends.
An interesting read, but I have an uneasy feeling about the effectiveness of the strategies. The author often mentions that he had success with this, or made a killing with that, but nothing to back up his claims... The fan page itself shows very few likes and I had a hard time findiing previous achievements.
I liked how to the point it was. A very painless way to learn about Facebook marketing!
I have not listened to an audiobook in a while, so I can't say.
