"Few people have done more to inspire an entrepreneur revolution and give entrepreneurs the tools and advice they need to grow their businesses in recent years than Dan. What I love about what he says and what he writes is that it all comes from a deep personal experience of bootstrapping a successful global small business himself from little more than a maxed out credit card." (Mike Harris, Founder of FirstDirect and Egg PLC, author of Find Your Lightbulb)
"Daniel’s book is a brilliant resource to help entrepreneurs ‘find their place’ and live the ‘entrepreneur revolution dream’." (Alistair Lukies, CEO of Monitise)
"Daniel Priestley’s book Entrepreneur Revolution perfectly teaches how to adopt an enterprising, street-smart mindset that produces results. His own failures, like mine, have taught him valuable and practical down-to-earth lessons which any aspiring leaders can learn from and will enjoy trying and applying themselves." (Lara Morgan, Founder of Pacific Direct)
"Daniel Priestley is one of a kind. Having worked with him for many years now, I can clearly see his unique ability to intuitively identify a collective need and provide a completely innovative solution, always at the right time and in the right place." (Andrew Griffiths, Australia’s number-one small-business author)
"This book will totally change the way you think about growing a business. An absolute must read that should be in the hands of more people." (Jeremy Harbour, author of Go Do!)
Absolutely. It is a wonderful book, especially to anyone who is thinking of becoming an entrepreneur. I enjoyed it thoroughly. I am currently listening to it for the 2nd time, some parts i've heard about 7 times.
Haven't read any books that compare yet.
Excellent reading by Glen McCready.
I think the title is perfect, gripping: Entrepreneur Revolution, sounds like Atlas Shrugged.
I am directing a Municipal Entrepreneurship Center in a developing country. Needless to say, the challenges we are facing are huge, but so are the opportunities. I am also a mentor for this center, and I have to admit sometimes I run out of ideas. That is until I downloaded this audiobook. It is completely filled with valuable tips, strategies and insights that I have found very helpful. From the "product ecosystem" to the "7 maxims" that every entrepreneur should follow, I enjoyed every second. I absolutely recommend it for anyone who is thinking about joining the entrepreneur revolution.
Yes. It was filled with so many insights and valuable pieces of information that it will take more than one sitting to fully digest!
"Stop reading other peoples books and writ your own!"
Clear and matter of fact.
Yes. Had to space it over two days though..
Highly recommend this book for everyone. It opens a vision of an abundant life possible to those willing to put the effort in, and with access to a little luck..
A very insightful and practical book that has changed the way I view my business and the opportunities that our global market has... A must read for anyone at any stage of business to thrive in the new economy. It has helped me focus on the joy of creating and not consuming, plus given me a strategic road map to bring greater value to my clients and profit to my bottom line. Thanks Daniel!
Great thoughts on entrepreneurship. Focuses on the entrepreneur's mindset and taking action, but also has more tangible content, like methods and techniques. Lean forward and have a listen!
I’ve been toying with the concept of an entrepreneurial venture for quite some time. This book has given me the inspiration and an process to implement an action plan. I’ve now listened to the book twice, and I plan to re-listen to it multiple times throughout my process.
Easy to understand.
Why not the "Entrepreneurial Revolution"? It was intriguing enough for me to buy the audio book.
The content and the fact that it is relevant to my way of life and thought. I want to work on my own for myself, so I picked up this book. The ATM seems helpful.
Accentuation of the text. Not a flat reader. Much appreciated.
The entrepreneur revolution - How to make it on your own.
Love the breakdown of the different models and phases to becoming an entrepreneur. Many things that I've been grappling with and considering, Daniel lays out very simply. Daniel encourages you to read / listen to the book more than once. I've already done it three times and will definitely do it again! Thanks Daniel.
This audiobook was interesting with some great ideas and an excellent narrator. I am an audible member and listen to business audiobooks regularly. Some of them are drab, yet this one definitely kept my attention throughout. Kudos to the author and audiobook narrator. Well done!
It is very easy to follow, and well laid-out. The narrator is easy to listen to. The book left me feeling excited about my future and the potential to brighten it. Not that a book can DO anything for you...you must do it yourself...but it certainly helps challenge you to think about your future and to take action. At the end of the day, though, it's up to you to take the action.
Yes, I'd have loved to do it all in one sitting.
Every point Daniel makes in the book just seemed to click. Put his ideas into practice and you begin to see instant results, or at least I did.
When Daniel talked about the Lizard, Monkey, and Empire Building mindsets it really stuck with me and I realized most people live their lives as "Lizards" or "Monkeys". Once you decide to live like an "Empire Builder" and really strive for that, it changes everything.
Glen McCready's voice is perfect for this book, I never became bored or distracted at any point. His voice is easy to listen to and I'd honestly prefer him over many of the other narrators you find with audiobooks.
The "Ten Challenges" are a great part of the book that really made me sit back and assess myself and how I live my life. I am going to have to listen to the chapter that covers them a few times and continually try and strive towards accepting these challenges.
A great read, superb in fact. I would recommend this book to anyone and everyone.
"Not for me"
I enjoyed the opening few chapters which were positive and full of enthusiasm but I'm afraid once the book got practical, it lost me. I realised pretty quickly that I'm not an "entrepreneur" in the sense of this book, even though I've set up and run 4 successful businesses in the past decade. I have no desire to create a global business or to have great wealth. My businesses are there to support my way of life.
The idea of walking around with £1,000 in my pocket just so I can refuse to buy things I could get with that wad of cash is, for me, totally ludicrous. The idea of making 3 calls randomly, inviting a stranger to lunch etc etc. Nope. Even more crazy is the contention that I need to price my core product at £1,000+. I sell craft kits. Lots of them. But none cost a grand.
By the terms of this book, I'm an abject failure. Fortunately for me, I'm a happy one.
The narration is pretty good - nice to have an English accent for a change. He does sound a little like C3PO when played at 1.5x speed.
Easy reading/listening. Very succinct and to the point. Relates to all ages. Use especially as a tool to help generate thought processes and ideas.
"Fantastic guide and outlook of the brave new world"
I already have listened to this twice. \at first I thought YES! This is how i feel. Even though it only goes for 5 hours its jammed packed with value
Daniel Priestley...his the only character
Very well spoken and performed.
I didn't want to stop listening once i started.
This book was exactly what I needed at the right time. It outlines everything I agree with in the changing world and highlights things we should be doing in enjoy what we want out of life even beyond business. It's packed with an impressive amount of value and encouragement. Can't wait to listen again!
"Eyes Wide Open"
Yes. Having listened to this audiobook I am convinced that everyone needs to be aware of this message; so that they can make a choice for themselves whether they want to continue in the rat race, or carve out a future for themselves!
Too many to mention. The whole audiobook was like a light-switch for the mind!
'It's time to wake up, and embrace what you LOVE - It's time for a Revolution'
If you're somebody who has felt dissatisfaction with the direction that your life has been taking; this book is a shot to the arm, and a call to arms for all those who want to make their mark on the world, and make a difference.
Step by step processes to make what you love doing the focus of building an unbelievable life.
Breat book! I love it!
It is just what i was looking for. Lots of great ideas!
Will definitely listen again with a pen and a notebook in my hands.
"Want to make a big difference? Listen to this book"
I recommend this book to everyone! The world needs more entrepreneurs like Daniel.
Non-entrepreneurs think they can change the world with petitions and whilst I admire their passion and commitment it has to be said that the only way to bring about lasting change is by making ineffective systems redundant by creating better systems (R. B. Fuller). The people who do this best are entrepreneurs. This book is about being one of those entrepreneurs. The kind of entrepreneur that ushers in a new and better way of doing things. Change makers and value creators. This book has many invaluable messages. My favourite is that we all can be life changing, value creating, happy, wealthy entrepreneurs. Daniel is clearly a great source of knowledge and wisdom for any aspiring entrepreneur and having met him I believe him to be a man or integrity, with a genuine passion for what he does.
"Gives you all the tools you need"
I wasn't sure what to expect when I picked up this book but I have to say it's completely opened my mind.
It covers a vast array of tools for any aspiring entrepreneur from gaining the right frame of mind, to step by step process to aid growing successful businesses.
I have to say many points from the book will stay with me for years to come.
"Great read for all the future entrepreneurs"
This is a great book for people wanting to become self-employed. It can also help people working for others to become more successful by developing one's entrepreneurial attitude.
"Some great information for all entrepreneurs"
As a small business owner I loved this book.
Like all books of its ilk there were bits I couldn't relate to and bits that gave me 'aha' moments.
But most of all it reaffirmed what I wanted it to for my own business and where I want to take it.
A must read for those that like to think differently and more importantly, act differently.
"A bit bias"
This book essentially tells you that if you are not an entrepreneur you are a mug. Not inspirational, just depressing
