Stanek offers unique insight into the process of writing to meet the commitments of life, business, and college. Although this is far from a "definitive" writer's guideline, this book shines in giving a unique perspective on the processes of writing, tapping into creativity, improving ideas, and completing assignments that involve writing from simple essays, reports, presentations to more complicated writing like a thesis or a novel, the book covers it all.

As a college sophmore, I am grateful for a brief glimpse into the world of a professional writer as well as the many many insights Stanek shares are taken from his own many years experience as a professional writer. He shares the proven techniques he's used to get writing done to the beat of deadlines from bosses, professors, and others. I gained confidence and am working to change many bad habits. I am still in awe at what he has accomplished in his professional writing career.

I found the book to have a scope that is unbelievably wide and I happened to find a few items of interest in the book, but mostly it was a reiteration of information I have come across in the past. I believe this book would be aimed at the High School level. I believe this book should be aimed at the High School level.
