Gary brings to you an unbelievable amount of positive energy that you can't help but to get involved and get in gear, or simply get out of the business. He tells it like it is with no sugar coating. When you're done listening you'll want to listen again and again. There's a lot of information, good information, and sometimes you may feel the same information you can read in other books, but this is brought to you in a way that you will want to take action and not just say it was a good read. There's a lot of extras in the audio version that you won't want to miss. It's very personable and it makes you feel he's talking to you in the same room. This book is for everyone who wants more out of life, and not just for business owners who's trying to get ahead. Thanks Gary for sharing your experiences.
This book is AWESOME! Gary gives some Valuable information + also keeps it real in the process. This isn't one of the boring audio CD's that go over the same type of information that is always re-hashed.
This info is Valuable. He also talks about something for everyone. It doesn't matter if you like to do videos, write, or just talk. There's something for everybody. Everyone can CRUSH IT!
Thanks Gary for taking the time to put this together!
I actually bought the book and then had to buy the audio because I couldn't read fast enough. :)
It is excellent and worth every penny. Authenticity is what makes it work. Yes...he knows his stuff and give good practical advice...but he comes across as someone who genuinely cares about his readers/listeners doing well.
I purchased this book because it had a 4 star in Amazon. One reviewer complained about how he got 76 "not helpful" votes on a single day for his 2 star review of this book. I still went ahed and bought it cause of all the 4 star reviews! I regret deeply the couple hours I spent with it, I did not fully finish the 3rd hour. The book contains no original thought or insights. Just keeps repeating that I should CRUSH IT!
This book is awesome. Anyone who wants to break free from their mundane work routines and get involved in the digital age taking their business or passion online and succeeding should get this.
Not only is it very informative the way it's read makes you want to listen to it. You know how most audio books are read straight off the script and tend to bore you so gotta rewind to listen to what you missed??? Well not this book
The Author of the book is the person reading it and I lost count of how many times he went off the script just to give you extra tips on what he is talking about. Very refreshing
This book is really only for those with very little common sense and those that have not taken a Business 101 course or can't find a better business start-up book. Vaynerchuk should have bought a better ghost writer and taken a lot more business courses.
THIS is how audiobooks should be. Gary frequently breaks away from reading to dive into side topics (which do actually add more value to buying this format) and conveys even more of how to realize your own passion and personal brand.
The book itself is a concise and effective volume that you will refer to for inspiration and to trigger action for years to come.
The audiobook has the Gary fairydust sprinkled all over it.
While perhaps not technically the best reader in the world, his enthusiasm and passion for what he is reading shines throughout.
If you do not own the book and have no idea who Gary V is, this is a great place to start.
If you do own the book and/or watch Wine TV, I honestly think there's enough extra in this audiobook to warrant the additional purchase.
The deviation from simply reading the book appealed the most to me. I hope other audiobook authors follow this example.

Love me some @Garyvee! Gary is such an over-the-top and inspiring personality and businessman. This audiobook is filled with "off the script riffs" and "rants" - the passion and belief of what he is talking about is very transparent.
I gave the story only three stars, because I think that he is a bit scary about working your ass off. He evangelized grueling work and sleeping three hours a night to get what you want out of life. But he is very clear that you should be very sure that you are working toward your true authentic passion and if you are - staying up until three am should be fun.
This read give a great balance to Four-Hour Workweek, which follows the premise of NOT working too hard, not worrying too much about your work being your passion, and instead automating your cashflow as much as possible.
Both are books about leveraging the internet to be your own boss and live the dream, but with diametrically opposed strategies on how to do so. I suspect that the best strategy lies somewhere in the middle.
Definitely recommend this listen. Take his overall advice for life to heart (putting family first and living your passion), take notes on his social networking techniques, but take his "be your own toughest boss" with a grain of salt. We should all work hard, true, and this should be fun if we are doing what we love...but most people we get burnt out following his advice.
Balance is key!
I just wanted to say that I've listened to this book twice and I fully intend to listen to it again. It's not that the book has special, gamebreaking insight(though Gary does provide great insight) it's that Gary brings such passion to the book and the reading, that you cannot leave without being pumped.
This book is a great resource. I loved 4 Hour Workweek and the Wisdom of Crowds. These books bread the mold on how to market and how to run a business.
The author reads the book and ad libs. Some of the ad libs are self - aggrandizing, though I con't knock success.
It's well written and interesting to listen to.
"Like in a gym"
Gary is indeed very enthusiastically pumped up and... It gets transferred to the listeners. Although my DNA is not TV but photography and writing, I am really lucky to stumble upon this book as the content and the truths Gary is talking about are universally applicable everywhere. Most important takeaway for me - Customer Service is paramount in marketing and will separate successful entrepreneurs from corporate behemoths. We know that and have that in the blood but the way Gary explained that rewired my brain and made me realise how truly important it is even in tiny details.
4 stars for a DNA mismatch ;)
