We are all aware of the power of money - how it influences our moods, compels us to take risks, and serves as the yardstick of success. Yet, because we take the daily reality of money so completely for granted, we seldom question how and why it has come to play such a central role in our lives.
In Coined, author Kabir Sehgal casts aside our workaday assumptions about money and takes the listener on a global quest to understand the relationship between money and humankind. Coined is not only a profoundly informative discussion of the concept of money, but it is also an endlessly fascinating take on the nature of humanity and the inner workings of the mind.

The author starts off right away and tells very good stories! The short story/examples are what sucked me in. What kept me hooked all the way through is the way that different concepts and stories weaved together. Made me appreciate all the different aspects of money I didn't really think about before. And there are many aspects about money none of us ever really understand.
The history lessons I learned. I came away with a lot of information I can share with friends.
I have not listened to any other of Kevin's performances.
I actually wanted to learn more about each example given in the book, but the narrative always pulled me into another fascinating story. I came away with pages of notes that I'm still researching today!
This book covers just enough of the various topics surrounding the history of money to keep you wanting more! I Listened to it twice and then bought the hardcover. You will not be disappointed with Coined.
