The coauthor of the classic best seller Boundaries, with over two million copies sold, and an expert on the psychology of business and leadership performance explains the behavioral reasons why some people get great results and others don't.
In Boundaries for Leaders, Dr. Henry Cloud gives leaders the tools and techniques they need to achieve the performance they desire - in their organizations and in themselves. Drawing on the latest findings from neuroscience, Dr. Cloud shows why it's critical for leaders to set the conditions that make people's brains perform at their highest levels. How do great leaders do this? One way is through the creation of "boundaries" - structures that determine what will exist and what will not.
Here you will learn seven leadership boundaries that set the stage, tone, and culture for a results-driven organization, including how to:
The strong call to action in this book is that leaders are ridiculously in charge of all these elements, and they must own what they either create or allow to exist.
Filled with inspiring and practical examples from Dr. Cloud's coaching practice, Boundaries for Leaders is essential listening for everyone who aspires to lead companies, teams, and cultures defined by high performance and healthy relationships.

I have many business books but not many fall into the category of outstanding. Truly a prescription for a successful leader. I lead leaders and will most definitely use this in my work. I have quoted extensively - my favorite part is when people get into a negativity spin they exhibit this with 3 "P's" over time; first they take it personal; then it becomes pervasive; and finally it becomes permanent. This helped me see a struggle with one of my leaders in a very clear way.
I purchased this in hardcover so as to have it as a reference and have recommended it to many already.
I see there is a workbook and also other titles by Dr. Cloud - I am sure I will be investigating these too.
Having the author narrate the book himself. His passion and high energy while delivering actionable content kept me engaged. This book is well worth listening too.
This book is ok...nothing special if you have common sense. A seasoned owner, manager, jefe, etc. will not need this book. Or at least, should not need this book.
The book has great content in places, but I feel like it could have all been said in 2 hours instead of 7.
Necessary endings was more true to the title. Boundaries for leaders was about how to build winning teams. It had some parts of the book dedicated to boundaries, but to me was more about business consulting packaged in something that was called boundaries but in fact offered lots of practical ways to create good teamwork using an outside consultant.
Stop beating yourself up and just do it...... You are ridiculously in charge
I need to re listen to chapter 10 once a month
This is an amazing book. I loved his other book Boundaries. This one is equally great and life changing. I would recommend this to anyone who has a job no matter if you are in charge or not. You either create your environment or you allow your environment to exist regardless what position you hold!
"Must read for any leader in business"
It was narrated by the author so the passion came through, this doesn't always come through with audible business books.
The author! Great passion and a very good orator.
No but I'm searching,
Yes and even though it was a long listen I managed it.
I've suggested this book to my CEO, it should be a staple read for all leaders in business
