This has been one of the best purcahses I have made in a long time. I am only a third of the way through and I have already gone back to re-listen to sections.
Don't rush through this one--take your time so you enjoy what the author has to say. Much more importantly, his purpose is to inspire you to write your own Axioms--short phrases that concisely sum up wisdom gained from joyous or painful experiences so you can remember the lesson learned in a flash without having to relive the entire experience. Those Axioms then help in future decision-making.
Hybels has done a remarkable thing in Axiom - he's melted-down seventy-six, tested and experience-based, real world leadership truths into 5-minute, readable and applicable chapters. I began incorporating these principles immediately and experienced instant, positive results. The short chapters make this is a great read for people who don't like to read! Leader, you owe it to yourself (and to those you lead) to digest this book!
Religion is great, but I wasn't expecting this to be so church oriented... Which lost me on being able to relate.
May want to reference that this is a very Christian centered book.
Yes! There is a lot of helpful, applicable advice here.
As I listened to the first 35 minutes, I apply 5 principles to my leadership method and saw instant results.
This is a great book. Every church leader should listen to it. This was my second time going through it.
The practical leadership lessons are amazing.
Thank you Bill Hybels.
I thought the book would be on proverbs, such as "never let a crisis go to waste". Instead, it is all about cliche words, God, church, and Christ!!!
Ever since subscribing to Audible I've relished my 90+ minutes commuting each day. I listen mainly to Business and Personal Development titles as well as the occasional biography.
I should never have bought this audiobook and wouldn't if I'd learned more about the author.
I wanted a good business leadership audiobook ..not one that sounded like it was a preaching.
"Everyone should read"
Great book. Highly recommended for all leaders whether in business or church. I learned a lot.
