Yes. This book should be REQUIRED reading for anyone in real estate for certain, and also sales, in general. Think about this--a Realtor grossing over $5Million a year is spilling the secrets for how he did it. Oh, and it's available for less than $20...to get him on the radio in your car, or at your workout--to help improve your life. I don't guess I understand why folks wouldn't 'get' this. But there you have it! I'm grateful I ran across Pat and his book. Great, great material.
The Millionaire Real Estate Agent by Gary Keller, which talks about how to build a successful real estate business...but where that paints in broad strokes, this one is more ABC, "this is what you do next." That's refreshing. Both are fantastic.
Pat is real. He's authentic. It didn't sound too slick or professional--but to me, that adds to the fact that this is a real man, giving you a real plan. He's been in the trenches of real estate and you can tell that!
Well, of course. But that would be one long sitting! I like listening to it in bite-sized chunks while driving to the office to get my head in the game for the coming day. It's perfect for that.
Great job, Pat! I appreciate you taking the time to write the book (which I purchased a few times, to give it to my Realtors, too), but to read it--which is my preferred way of getting the info now. Also, you introduced me to Audible. So, thank you!
I finished the book in one sitting; not because I was intrigued, but rather I wanted to get it over with and finish what I started.
Listed below is mainly what the book illustrates as the "steps" to reaching 7 figures.
Set goals, create affirmations, find a mentor, copy mentor's habits , "go where the money goes".
In my opinion, it was very bland. It was more of a confidence and self motivating type of approach.
It didn't bother me one bit that the author doesn't sound polished as he reads it. It's authentic, and more importantly it is packed with useful, actionable content. I highly recommend this book.
This is a fantastic book written by and read by Pat Hiban. I'm glad it was read by him personally because I felt like it gave him an opportunity to express himself. The system presented should give anyone an edge in their market and Pat gives very many personal examples, not just theory. Overall a great book
It is great to hear Pat's story; and, in his own voice - which can be an uncommon thing. I like to hear authors read their own work, even if they don't have "the voice". The strategies he shares are good basics and or refreshers for the beginner as well as seasoned real estate sales agent or broker. I found myself making bookmarks pretty frequently and adding notes on additional thoughts based on his ideas.
There's no way around it. The production is awful, nearly non-existent. It sounds like he either sat down and read his book straight through in one sitting, or did a chapter at a time. There is no post-production. The recording quality isn't bad, but he stops, repeats himself, mispronounces words and otherwise flubs lines. This was cyclical - he'd hit a stride and be error free for a while, then something else would happen. I did catch myself almost enjoying the candor at times, like we were in the car together talking, then he would have a bad spell and it was just painful to listen to.
If you can get past the production value, Pat offers a solid, fundamental approach to success in real estate that is based off his own career-long experiences. You can take things and apply them to your career. And, as always, it is encouraging to hear about someone's successes if you are working to do the same, too.
I don't write book reviews, but this book was so great I just felt like I needed to tell someone! If you are a real estate agent or are considering getting into real estate, you must listen to this book. It's one of the best available!
Very good read for agents new or veteran. Just brace yourself for terrible reading of the book. Content is VERY good though if you can get past the delivery.
