It takes a lifetime to learn these life lessons. But you don't have that kind of time. And no one is going to teach them to you. There just aren't that many good bosses around. Most of them are selfish, busy, or under the gun.
Here's a one-of-a-kind book that'll teach you how to get past interviewers. But that's just the half of it. It'll also teach you the life lessons you need to succeed in business, in your career, in your life.
When you finish this book, you'll know what it takes most successful people, at least, half a lifetime to learn. Lucky you found it.

I used to get really worked up and obsessively worried before my interviews. Especially, since I graduated.
After listening to this book, six or seven times, I feel more grounded, calmer, and more in charge. I now know what to say to interviewers. I'm telling my friends, who're looking for jobs or are just getting started, to buy this book.
Let's face it--not everyone can face the pressure of face-to-face or telephone job interviews with ease. I found that "25 Things..." helps with the problem directly. Picking the points I felt I needed the most "coaching" on and memorizing them gives me a lot more confidence when I need it most!
Somehow, I wish every one of my students would read this book (or listen ot it) a few times, before they start looking for a job.
Every book should be written like this. True to its promise, packed with great ideas, and useful. Useful not only for getting past interviewers, but also for your career and your life.
I love the last chapter. It's a surprise. And it's the most important attribute anyone should have. I just finished listening to it the second time around.

I am writting to thank Mr. Hawk for inspiring me and giving me the job-getting skills I needed to achieve my goals. His book is a revelation as well as a tool that every one should have. The struggle to find a job with decent pay is becoming more and more difficult. People are going to college, and the expectations from job canidates are rising. Mr Hawk is right; being qualified isnt enough. I read his book, and was immediately inspired to put the information to use. Reading this book isnt enough;you have to practice and rehearse.Preparation is a must. My brother just graduated from UC Santa Barbara, and for the first time in his life, he felt affraid. He feard he would end up waiting on tables. Having spent so much money and time on his education, that would have been a waste. So he and I listened to the book, and practiced what we learned. step by step,we rehearsed being interviewer and interviewee. This exercise, and the brilliant insights paid off immediately. My brother rose above the rest of the applicants, and got the job at one of the most successful technology companies in Silicon Valley. Mr. Hawks booked armed him with the skills and confidence he needed to stand out, to be noticed from among the rest of the applicants, and to succeed. I, too used the book to get a full-time job as a Resident Services Coordinator. I am only twenty-two yrs old , and i am in the top forty percent of Americans making a healthy salary. From the bottom of my heart, thank you Mr. Hawk
Ok. I see mixed reviews. I have not interviewed in over 2 years. This book might not be perfect as some have said. But it is perfect to put me in the correct mindset to go to an interview! It reminds me all the good I did in my past jobs. It reminds me that I have to sell myself and be professional in the interview. Do I already know much of this? Of course. Some I forgot, some I did my own way. Listening to this helped me focus on selling myself in the interview. I used to give advice to friends, if you are in an interview, the beginning is slow or confusing, try 'fake enthusiasm'. Why? This puts you in the corrent mindset at the beginning of an interview, after a short while, it will of course be real, but sometimes this helps open up the interview to a 2-way discussion about the job, you, the other person (often a boss or co-worker).
I also like to listen to favorite music before an interview. If I am a little down or slow that morning, I listen to some fast music, if I am a little stressed or too excited I might listen to some soft new age music. Either way, this audiobook might not be perfect, but it is the best I have found to help remind me the correct attitude to go back into the workplace. Thank you.
I thought this book was filled with practical how to get the job advice and deep insights into the attitudes, strategies and beliefs of successful business people. After I listened to the book I felt energized and inspired. I'm sure the information I got from this book will help me succeed in my next career challenge.
I recommend it!
A very easy read and easy to commit to memory. The first job-getting book I've read to that is actually usable. It's so good I ordered 2 more copies for my kids, now in the last of their college years. I'm sure it will make a huge difference in how they approach an interview, get the job and earn the large dollars so they can support their mother as she so richly deserves. Thanks so much Mr. Hawk!
I wouldn't advise saying the things author advises to get a job, but use the disiplines advised once you have a job. This book is for someone just out of college who needs direction.
I'm disappointed with this book. The title was very misleading; the book doesn't tell you 25 things to say on an interview, rather, it lists 25 rules for workplace mindset. This was an absolute waste of one Audible credit! Do not waste your time or money unless you are eighteen years old and need someone to tell you what anyone who has ever had a job already knows. My only question after listening to this book is where do I go to ask for a refund?
"Ok I guess if you want to get a job in sales"
I bought this to listen to on the way to a job interview to get me in a good frame of mind. It's really simplistic and I think would only get you a job in a very macho sales environment, so I didn't find it that helpful.
