Ok read
I wonder how this will continue in a series. I think I’m invested enough to purchase book 2... I wish the narrator was better with distinguishing different voices for characters .. if she can work on that she will be good..with that said I’ve heard way worse... The main character was frustrating but a lot of people in abusive relationships come off that way because outsiders don’t understand the trauma bond created in these scenarios. The story was ok and I’d purchase again from this author.

Good book
I like a book that starts off with a bang and keeps your attention. I wanted to scream at Charlie for a minute for being so stupid. I was mad at her dad. Because he is supposed to be a hit man. What hitman allow another man live after beating his daughter. Overall I am interested to see what happens in book two. It is a good book.🙂

Stupid
How do you create a woman to be soooo smart when it comes to law school but dumb as shit when it comes to man who breaks the law?? Smh I wanted to come through this audiobook and grab ol girl by her neck and shake the hell out of her!!!!!! Who ever wrote this book count your freaking days!!! Let’s see if in part 2 she makes better decisions!!!! I think not!!!!

Okay
I just did not enjoy this book as much as I thought I would. Carlie was annoying throughout and I didn't care much for the way the story was pieced together. It was an interesting read, but I didn't develop any attachment to any of the characters or even find myself caring if they lived or died, which made it hard for me to want to move on to the next book in the series.
