Publisher's summary

The world began when God, the Creator of everything, said, “Let there be light”. As the wonder of the world came to life with all its intricate beauty, the most miraculous moment had yet to become reality. That’s when God breathed into Adam and, with that one breath, shaped humanity. In this thoughtful and inspiring book, Daniel Kooman, the award-winning director of She Has a Name and Dream: Find Your Significance, shares the creation story in a way you have never experienced it before. Breath of Life examines three breaths from God that shaped humanity: the first breath that brought humanity to life; a second breath that redeemed humanity from sin; and a third breath that continues to shape the course of human history as we know it. Original and refreshing, it helps listeners rethink something they take for granted every waking moment of the day: the very breath in their lungs.

Excellent narration, some constructive criticism

I really enjoyed this narrative, and learned some things from it myself, as is often the case when the True Word of God is read or spoken.

Recently, I had an experience where the Lord taught me to be extremely cautious when telling others things that I have learned from the Scriptures, which made me very aware that every single T must be crossed and every I must be dotted, because to change even one syllable of a single word can completely change the context of Scripture.

Although I am aware that the existence of the Nephilim is a hugely controversial theological discussion, yet, I think that the statements made by the author about the Nephilim would have been better left out, as the author has made it pretty clear that he believes the Nephilim to be the fallen angels cast down upon the earth, yet the Nephilim are referred to in scripture as the Sons of God, but no where in scripture have angels ever been referred to as Sons of God...only mankind has been. Adding that part of the text lends doubt about the credibility of the author. Yet, I found no other fault in this narrative, so I just subtracted a star for this. If I could subtract just a partial star, I would do so.

My only other issue with this narrative was the usage of the Scripture, John 15:16. The scripture quoted was accurate, but I think, had I been the author, I would have added additionally, John 14:12-15, because so often people tend to take John 15:16 outside of its True context and twist it to fit their own needs and desires.

Jesus tells us that if we ask anything in His name, He will do it...IF we keep His commandments. If we keep His commandments, we will not ask Him to fulfill selfish desires for wealth and prosperity...but for those things that will help us to advance His Kingdom, which will in turn build up our treasures in heaven...not in this world we are temporarily living in, where treasures on earth will simply decay and return to the earth in which they came from.

Overall, I really enjoyed the book. Thank you, Mr. Keenan, and may the Lord continue to bless the work you do both here and abroad.
