Publisher's summary

Katherine Parker is on the cusp of having everything she ever wanted - fame, money, and acclaim. So why isn't she happy? In search of answers, she comes incognito to Hope Harbor on the Oregon coast for some R&R. Maybe in her secluded rental house overlooking the serene Pacific she'll be able to calm the storm inside.

Coffee shop owner Zach Garrett has found his niche after a traumatic loss - and he has no plans to change the life he's created. Nor does he want to get involved with his reticent new neighbor, whose past is shrouded in mystery. He's had enough drama to last a lifetime. But when Katherine and Zach are recruited to help rehab a home for foster children, sparks fly. And as their lives begin to intersect, might they find more common ground than they expected...and discover that, with love, all things are possible?

Best-selling and award-winning author Irene Hannon invites you to come home to Hope Harbor - where hearts heal...and love blooms.

A romance for everyone!

Although the plot was very predictable, the story had a few plot turns and the characters were well developed. It's certainly a book you can recommend to anyone including your grandmother - there is no cursing, no steamy sex scenes and no innuendo. The narration was excellent and well paced. All in all a pleasant, uplifting and well-written story at a time we all could use one!

Keep them coming!!

I’m always so excited when there’s a new Hope Harbor novel. And Therese Plummer could read a phone book and I’d be enthralled. A perfect duo!

Good story and presentation. I am a Therese Plummer fan and now a Irene Hannon fan as well. I almost listened straight through. I will probably listen again so I am giving this a full 5 stars.

Hope Harbor Never Disappoints!

I’m a huge fan of Hannon’s writing, and her Hope Harbor novels never fail to touch me in a way that no other books have...and I’m an AVID reader. Hannon masterfully weaves elements of faith, family, real-world struggles, humor, human frailties, and romance into these books that exude such heartwarming charm. Blackberry Beach is excellent and I’m sure I’ll enjoy this again and again. As always, the superb narration of Therese Plummer creates a truly magical experience. I HIGHLY recommend!

HEART WARMING STORY!!!

There's not a book in this series that I dislike. Listening to a story by the duo of Irene Hannon/Therese Plummer is like coming home. I hope there are many more future releases.

I just couldn't finish it

First of all I've heard this story before, in other books. To me the writing is just heavy-handed, the usage of the language makes no sense. You can be a great scientific writer, prolific writer of history, even a prolific biographer, but that doesn't mean it'll transfer when you are writing a book about romance or love or whatever this one was supposed to be. Most people don't think that way and they're not going to talk that way especially to themselves. One example that sticks out to me which is silly, instead of saying the smell of the food or the thought of the food made my mouth water, she said the thought of the food made my salvatory glands take notice. I know this is nit picking but it drove me crazy. For me, the narrator was just awful. My husband has a name for this kind of person he calls them pistol winkers and that's what it felt like. I think this was supposed to be a spiritual book, or a Christian book. But it just didn't feel right to me for some reason. The main protagonist, a males character( the male voices are terrible), had an aunt that came to visit him. and when she the narrator voice her character she sounded like there was sexual innuendos all over the place. I thought it was just me, but my husband laughed out loud when he heard it. and that's when he called her a pistol wanker. Once again, it just got on my never. matter of fact she got on my nerves so bad that I just couldn't finish it because I couldn't get to the story without being annoyed by the narration. This might have been a good little slice of life kind of story that I could have over looked the heavy-handed writing, but for me I just couldn't get past the narration and the writing. strike two....

JUST what I needed!!

When I searched for a heartwarming story, Irene Hannon was my first choice, and seeing Therese Plummer narrating was a big plus. I made the right choice. Please continue sharing wholesome, well rounded characters like these -and the varied age groups greatly enhance the storyline.
