Publisher's summary

"I saw it all, as though I were God, or on the plane of God. I saw the fabric of life and death, the true nature of reality, which is that nothing truly exists except through death. The realizations it triggered were intoxicating; they continued, falling one to the next, like an endless row of dominoes".

Dr. Arthur Beeman is a brilliant genetic engineer who has developed the deadliest viral weapon in history. Obsessed with the cosmic secrets of life and death, he abducts two young women for horrific human experiments, not knowing he’s under surveillance by North Korean agents who plan to blackmail him to obtain the virus. North Korea is planning to start a war, and intends to unleash Beeman’s weapon upon the world.

Mark Jensen’s life as a prestigious trial lawyer comes unhinged when he learns that his daughter has gone missing, and the police offer him no assistance in finding her. Sensing that their investigation is being deliberately stalled, he turns to an aging former CIA officer, Albert Brecht, for help. Brecht is the founder of an elite and highly secretive private intelligence firm. He’s waited decades for an opportunity to repay a life-long debt to the Jensen family. He assembles a hand-picked team to find the missing women, and in the process discovers North Korea’s invasion plans.

Roady Kenehan, Brecht's top field agent, is trained for high-level intelligence operations, investigation and special warfare. Brecht orders him to find Jensen’s daughter, and Kenehan is surprised to discover that he has more than just a professional interest in doing so.

The clock is counting down to zero. The odds are terrible. Must Jensen sacrifice his daughter to prevent a global war? Can Brecht’s team prevent cataclysmic loss of life? Will Kenehan’s formidable skills be enough to overcome roadblocks placed in his way by our own government?

Suspenseful thriller with plenty of twists

Loved this book. Plenty of suspense and action. Exciting mix of science, technology, and warfare. Plot twists wouldn’t let me put the book down once I started!

Timely suspense

George Guidall made a very good story even better. Nicely written by first time author. Details were excellent. Suspense held together, but characters were somewhat wooden. Overall quite enjoyable audio book.

Really great book that keeps you on edge the entire time. Godfrey did a great job keeping you engaged until the very end. Hope there’s a sequel!

Good story, even better performance

The book moves fast, overkill st times but it keeps you engaged- wanting to hear how the story ends.

Great book! Little to close to reality!

I loved the book and all the characters, I am sure there really are unsung heroes out there every day working to keep us safe and the world at peace.

It could of been better.

George Guidall was a phenomenal narrator and did a great job reading the book. Unfortunately, the story was all over the place and could of been a little straight to the point. Tough listen.
