America is in serious trouble, and our days as a superpower are numbered, argues businessman and entrepreneur Donald J. Trump in his blockbuster new book.
"Our nation has become a whipping post for the rest of the world. It’s time to get tough on China and other countries that are methodically and systematically taking advantage of the United States," says Trump. "We need to get serious about the debt, we need to get serious about oil, we need to get serious about job creation, and we need to get serious about our country’s future." With his trademark candor and charisma, Trump reveals his hardline, commonsense solutions to the problems plaguing us today and shows how we can put our country back on the path to greatness.
Nobody is better at achieving spectacular success than Donald Trump. Here, Trump shows how America can do the same.

I've always found Donald Trump to be entertaining, but I prefer him when he's not talking - or writing - about politics. With that said, this book is fairly enjoyable, but keep in mind that you're paying to hear Trump's opinion on the economy and how to turn things around. Don't assume everything he says is fact. He's a smart guy, and I'm sure his motivation for getting this book published was to make money and position himself as a potential Presidential candidate - should he decide to run in 2012.
Like many books that strive to be persuasive, several of Trump's points are beat to death - specifically those about OPEC and China. While his reasoning seems logical, I feel he spent a little too much time trying to convince the reader - or the listener in this case - that he is right. What I found fascinating was his take on publicly-funded programs like social security and welfare. It's a shame you never hear him interviewed on TV about these issues.
The narrator did a fantastic job of capturing Trump's signature, no-BS attitude that we've all come to love or, in some cases, hate. He's a real delight to listen to, and I'll have to look out for him when downloading audiobooks in the future.
If you like Trump, you'll probably like "Time to Get Tough." While it's not a classic business book, like "The Art of the Deal," it is definitely an entertaining and well read audiobook that's worth checking out.
I enjoyed Donald Trump's answers to get our country back to being #1 in the world.
Take the oil.
I wish Donald would have spent more time explaining his previous bankruptcy experiences. I also would have liked him to go into more detail about how he would overcome the resistence that would happen to our president when that president takes the oil or institutes a 25% tariff on China.
sports announcer, cyclist, enjoys to travel and the outdoors.
In todays hustle and bustle it has been easy to loose track of what all this stuff going on in DC really means, or understand. This book does a wonderful job of catching you up on what is going on in DC or not going on in DC from someone who I would have to believe is in the know. Some of his ideas are very interesting and straight forward. DT really seems to love this country and does not like the job the current president is doing. It is worth the listen to at least get an updated point of view. no mater which side you are on, these seem to be good facts that everyone should hear and consider. My next book in fairness is Clintons book to hear his point of view.
A great listen for anyone who wants to be inspired to be great, personally, professionally or politically. A real American would vote for this author even if his name is Trump. Our country needs his leadership as he demonstrates in this
Years ago Donald Trump established a direction and concrete goals for our country. This book clearly details them while being an entertaining read.
Indeed. Mr. Trump has some straight-talking common-sense ideas to return this country to its greatness. I counted twelve ideas that should be undertaken by our government.
Particularly strong stance on how China is taking advantage of us and equally important, how we go 'save the world' and get nothing in return. We should be awash in oil if we had negotiated with foreign governments BEFORE we saved them.
This book followed almost exactly the 2016 campaign that Donald Trump focused on. Trade, the wall, getting low income parents to be families and be proud of who they are. The focus on corruption of the ruling class and media that did their bidding. Trump stayed the coarse and went on to win the 2016 election to make history as the most incredible story in American politics. This book is a blueprint on how to make America great again.
I read this book when Trump started to gain momentum in the primaries and I was sold.
well rounded and put from aspect as a business lack some more history acknowledgement but well put after strategizing from marketing and business making.
Say what you like about Donald Trump, but the guy can write a book. No question. This is a very honest book full of things that we wish the politicians would just come out and say! Although its all about the USA there are many similarities to the situation faced by the UK too. I just wish there were more people in the government with a Donald Trump approach. I suspect it was written to somehow gain popularity for his possible run for office but never the less I really respect him for having the courage to say what is in this book. I thoroughly enjoyed it, not least because the narrator Malcolm Hillgartner does his usual fantastic job communicating Donald Trump's aggressive, no nonsense style.
