Beautiful, Spiritual, and Soul Awakening

I didn't know what I was going to get when I bought this book, but boy am I glad I took the leap. Theresa reminded me about my loved ones who have gone home and how much they still are around me. I am truly grateful for the reminder and the insight she gave about our soul journey.

This book turned my Grief and Depression into Comfort!

Okay, I lost my Dog from a sudden illness and death! This dog was an angel that was placed in my life at a time when my depression was killing me. Someone had abandoned her to the streets and she showed up in my front yard crying. What else was I going to do but bring her in and feed her. That was eight years ago! That dog had saved my life and pulled me out of my depression eight years ago! I had no idea that losing her would hurt so bad!

Would you listen to There's More to Life than This again? Why?

Yes. She covers a lot of ground, I finished it today and immediately restarted. It's the kind of book where I feel like I don't want to miss anything. It must have really made an impact, because I dreamt I was on an airplane with Theresa after finishing it.

Who was your favorite character and why?

Well, as a fan of the show, and having been lucky enough to see her live... I have a soft spot for all of them, but the book is about Theresa's gift more than anyone in the family... but who doesn't love Larry? I also loved the Afterword from Kristina Grish, the ghostwriter.

What does Theresa Caputo bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

Having her narrate was essential. It would not be the same if a professional voice actor read it.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

Yes.

Loved it. See her live if you can, even the skeptics walked away amazed by her abilities.

What a great book!

This book is just what I needed to hear with having a lot of soul searching to do. I literally couldn’t stop listening to her, how inspiring she has such an Amazing gift to help and heal people that have lost loved ones. I can’t wait to listen to her next book!

Interesting, but hard to listen to!

What did you love best about There's More to Life than This?

I have watched Theresa Caputo on television and while she is an original, I do believe much of what she experiences is true. I was glad to learn more about her life and experiences in this book.

How did the narrator detract from the book?

I feel terrible saying this, but Theresa did a horrible job narrating her own book! I know she had assistance writing it but she reads it as if she isn't even aware what is coming next. Her delivery is monotone, she pauses mid-sentence at times and it feels like she is reading someone else's book aloud. That was VERY distracting from the experience. If the author of a book is not good at reading it with emotion and as if they are storytelling (as Theresa should be since it's HER life story) then they should not do the audiobook.

Any additional comments?

Great book. Theresa Caputo is not a good narrator and I am surprised they didn't spot this in production and work with her to improve her delivery of the text.

Comforting, funny--but it also makes you think!

I love that it was read by The Long Island Medium herself. I just wish she read it a little less hurried. The afterward by her co-writer was unexpected but very interesting. I am glad they all made the effort to publish it. I think it will bring Hope to many.

Would you listen to There's More to Life than This again? Why?

This book was so amazingly life changing that I will definitely read and enjoy it again. Theresa helped me through a long-standing period of grief in a way nothing did before. She doesn't apologize for her beliefs and is dead-on. Honestly, I was an agnostic for a very long time, and had so much angst in my heart over the loss of a soul-mate. Hearing Theresa's concepts and practicing them has made me a believer. It's strange that such a funny light-hearted little spit-fire could do this, but she did. Made me laugh, cry, everything.

Love her and this book!

I would most definitely listen to it again! It is very well written and definitely gives you insight to what she experiences on a daily basis and also gives a step by step guide to how to communicate with loved ones yourself!

I love the fact that Theresa narrated the whole thing! Felt like I was listening to the show!
