Publisher's summary

Like it or not, Hillary Clinton is almost assuredly going to run for president in 2008. It doesn't matter that her negative poll numbers are high or that her past 15 years in the public eye have been anything but smooth. Since she was a little girl she has dreamed about becoming the first female president, and now that dream is well within reach.

Esteemed journalist and New York Times best-selling author Edward Klein reveals the truth about a woman who has managed to keep much of her life private. Drawing from inside sources, Klein reveals the reality of Hillary's turbulent marriage and exposes what she and Bill have done behind closed doors. He also proves that Hillary lied to America, even in her enormously successful Living History autobiography.

Truth?? Not Even Close!!

This is absolutely shameful. I gave this a one only because it's not possible to give zero stars (or perhaps more appropriately, negative stars). It's not so much that this book is poorly researched as it's not researched at all. There are so many outright lies in this thing, it would take a tome the length of "Gone With the Wind" to cover them all. Klein couldn't come up with enough new lies, so he rehashed old ones that were long-ago refuted (e.g., delays at LAX due to the infamous haircut - never happened; the misuse of FBI files - never happened). His lies about Moynahan not being able to bring himself to say her name in an introduction during her Senate campaign are easily refuted simply by viewing a tape of the event. Moynahan used both "Hilary" and "Mrs. Clinton" in his introduction, but in sentences conveniently omitted by Klein. He also conveniently omitted any ellipsis when quoting Moynahan, to indicate omissions. He isn't even consistent in his slander, suggesting that she is simultaneously sexually frigid, a raging lesbian, and engaged in extra-marital affairs with men. So which is it? Klein didn't even bother to check the spelling of names - and thus misspelled them. It just goes on and on. Don't waste your money, time, or brain cells on this trash. Life is too short.

Utter Garbage!!!

Right wing propaganda disguised as "non-fiction." As has been widely (and without bias)reported, you know it is beyond the pale, when even right wing conservatives are scrambling to distance themselves from this ridiculous and lurid fiction with very few, if any, facts whatsoever to support it. IGNORE like the plague!

Very revealing!

Mr Klein should go hide. Hillary is dangerous to all our health. The Donald will bring healing to our country

Another Clinton Hater

This book is nothing but a long rant by someone who really hates Hillary. Yes she is ambitious, yes she is a politician, this is news how? How many people in Washington are not ambitious politicians? Instead of wasting your money on this garbage why don't you read a book about how Dubya's adminsitration is destroying our country and taking away our hard earned civil rights?

Truth Hurts

Clinton is unfit to be President, pure and simple. If anyone walks away from listening to this book and thinks otherwise, they need their head examined. Of course when one assumes the Presidency we should expect some under the table dealings....it is just the nature of the job. But for Hillary to do what she has done TO GET herself in position to possibly run is quite laughable. How do we know that she won't look the other way as she did with Bill, during a time of need in her Presidency??

Unbalanced and Disappointing

Edward Kline's book was a disappointment. Just as the Swift Boats was a hack job on John Kerry so is this toward Hilary Clinton. I was always under the impression that Kline was an objective investigative reporter.. Well, that's certainly not the case here. The book, like, Unfit for Command (Swift Boats) is filled with anonymous sources, poorly researched and simply vindictive from start to finish. I was expecting more from Edward Kline, perhaps next time.

Even right wingers hate this book!

Here's what Peggy Noonan, writing at WSJ.com had to say about this book:

"In terms of political impact it is not a takedown but a buildup. Dick Morris says its sensational charges will only "embolden" her. They will certainly tend to inoculate her against future and legitimate criticism and revelations. The book is poorly written, poorly thought, poorly sourced and full of the kind of loaded language that is appropriate to a polemic but not an investigative work."

Klein hits another home run

I have read the majority of Mr. Klein’s books and again he hit this one out of the park. Even reading this book over a decade after the events kept me flipping the pages so to speak. Enjoy this read!

Mis-categorized: PURE FICTION

Another mindless hate monger whose motto, like the current administration's, is "keep tellin' them lies until they think it's the truth." PASS on this one!
