Negative * Positive can sometimes be +

Steve Jobs made his remarkable comeback by having multiple personalities (a bad Steve and a good Steve). I cannot imagine in any way that his comeback will be a success with one of those two personalities missing. My perception about Steve Jobs has changed and made me realize that being bad sometimes will make other people achieve more.

absolutely Fantastic

Steve Jobs is a very complex soul and this book deep dives into the genius mind of Steve Jobs. I dislike apple but love Steve Jobs. This should be written in a text book somewhere.

Excellent book!

The author is also an excellent narrator. I wish he would read more books. The book itself is also very well done. It is interesting and filled with lots of good tid bits. The book si both amusing and informative. Of course after reading it you will wonder how Jobs ever managed to accomplish anything with his huge ego and obvious lack of talent in anything. But obviously bluster and abuse can take you far.

The emotional account of Steve Job way of being

If you could sum up The Second Coming of Steve Jobs in three words, what would they be?

A great book

What was one of the most memorable moments of The Second Coming of Steve Jobs?

Since his early years studding without having the meanings to pay for it, up to a time when he was rich, the book is filled with remarkable moments, too many to count. Though he did not eat any kind of meat, he had too much anger bottled up inside of him, eating him away: was also given to display such anger towards just about anyone. I believe that all such anger eventually developed itself into his final cancer. He had his far share of beautiful women, but was too selfish-centered to accommodate himself to any of them in a proper way. His ego was huge. He had a very charismatic personality, which he used to his own full advantage. Doesn't matter whether or not you like this take on his life, because it is so compelling that you will enjoy both the storytelling and the narrator, which is one of the very best there is, making all scenes come alive, as if we were watching a great movie about his personal life, with regards to the way he works as well. It may well be the best book published on Steve Jobs: it is not too long, it is deeply personal and shows him in several human situations. Altogether, a book that made more than a few dents on his biography, in a very personal way.I don't quite agree with those reviewers who said that this author was technological incompetent to tell Steve Jobs story in Apple. He worked for more than a decade, covering those vey issues as a journalist and he has a keen eye to what really matters about life. It is a great biography overall. Even if he is not a genius in relation to all little detail about technology, his gift is far greater: for a touching, engaging, human story, superbly told. Whatever the background the reader has, he will be enriched by so many different aspects dealt with in this short masterpiece.

Have you listened to any of Charles Stransky’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

I haven't. But I'm thinking about researching his work, because his performace is one of the best I ever found. He adds a lot in the overall sensation of listening to this book, because he is capable of conveying every single human intonation at the precise time. He is one of the very best. I hope that Audible give him several more good books for him to work in them that exact same way.

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

I had a constant flow of detailed and surprising stories about Steve Jobs presented to me. I may have laughed some times. As for crying, I cannot recall that.

Any additional comments?

Don't think too much. Just buy this book, if you want to know, in a concise yet fully developed manner, the life of one of the best creative minds of our time, or if you simply want to find more entertaining and informative book to listen to while commuting or power walking. But don't listen to it before sleep time: you may lose your sleep entirely. This book is that good.

Awesome background on Apple, NeXT, and Pixar.

If you have any interest in the computer industry at all, you will love this audio book. I was fascinated by the details that were given throughout the book. I was especially fascinated by the history it gave about Pixar, and the early years of computer animation. And if you have even the slightest interest in Steve Jobs or Apple, you will love it.

Some reviewers said the book was mean spirited, but I didn't get that at all. It seemed blatantly honest. Sometimes that was a good thing, sometimes not, And the use of profanity was few and far between, and was only when it applied to the story. Some people need to loosen up a little.

All in all, it was hands down my best audible purchase yet. I couldn't stand to have to pause my iPod when I got to work, and couldn't wait to pick up with the story when I left.

Wow!

I really enjoyed this look at Steve Jobs. I am an Apple consumer and so the intrigue of what Jobs is all about has always been interesting to me. Recent TV/movie portrayals of the man seem to have left out major parts of his life. This book did a good job of giving me a complete picture of Steve, even if it was a little overly dark at times. The author seems to deny credit in cases where Steve may have deserved it, but over all I think the book was balanced and gave reasons to why Steve is who he is. If you like Apple or if you enjoy reading about the computer boom and technology, you will certainly enjoy this book. =)

How to become a Billionaire

I just goes to show to show you that nice guys do finish last. Jobs without doubt proves this once an for all. This book dispells the myth about this excellent sales man. It really shows he is in the same league as Bill Gates. (Greed Wins). An excellent book I would recomend this to anyone interested in business and technology.
