Would you listen to The Painter, the Creature, and the Father of Lies again? Why?
Yes I would, becasue it was a great collection of notes and insights on various books and projects Clive Barker has written over the course of his career. Very good to go back over this in time for the sake of reference. What did you like best about this story?
I like all the insights I gleamed on the various books and movies Clive Barker has been involved with. Interesting to know more on the authors thoughts on some of the best horror books I have read. What does Chris MacDonnell bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?
Chris MacDonnell brings a great reading voice, to be honest. He is perfectly suited to this book as he reads in and English accent which corresponds with the author's own accent. For me gives a more cohesive feel to the narration.Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?
I did laugh in some points learning the authors thoughts and musings. Very stimulating.Any additional comments?
If you are in any way a fan of the author Clive Barker I recommend you read this book, it's full of fansinating insights on nearly all the works Barker has done (and all in his own words). Highly recommended.I give this unbiased review in return for a copy of the book.
