The Game recounts the incredible adventures of the everyday man who transforms himself from a shy, awkward writer into the quick-witted, smooth-talking Style, a character irresistible to women. But just when life is better than he could have ever dreamed (he uses his techniques on Britney Spears, receives life coaching from Tom Cruise, moves into a mansion with Courtney Love, and is officially voted the World's Number One Pickup Artist), he falls head over heels for a woman who can beat him at his own game.
Jaw-dropping and hilarious, The Game reveals the naked truth about sex, love, and relationships - and getting exactly what you want.

I decided to listen to this book because I wanted to find out what the Pick Up Artist community is all about, why it exists and what they do. I find the whole PUA culture weird, disturbing and rather tragic, but I found this book very interesting and compelling.
It doesn't say good things about our society that the PUA community is so large and that guys feel this is the best, or only, way to meet women. I understand that part of the process if to make men feel more confident in themselves and therefore make them happier and more attractive. This seems like the positive part of the process, but they way they go about it and their attitudes towards women are just WEIRD. It seemed like they saw women as another species who have to be tricked and manipulated, or even a collectible card game where you try and get the special edition card that the other guys covet the most. It didn't seem like they were getting to know women or picking up girls they were personally interested in, but trying to score the 'prizes' they thought would most impress other men.
I don't think this is a book to listen to if you want to learn the PUA techniques, but it's very entertaining if you want to find out about the culture and what they were up to at the time this was written (apparently things have changed and the movement has split into competitive factions all trying to cash in on some mens inability to talk to women).Overall, although I enjoyed the craziness of the car-crash being played out in the book, it made me feel pretty sad about the state of male/female relationships, and I had to keep reminding myself that these guys are in the minority. The narration is good and the pace of the book is good too.
"Waste of money ant, most important, time."
Waste of money ant, most important, time. Few good point which can be easily explained in half an hour
I've recently come into the knowledge of pua and didn't know much about its origins. I could t. Stop listening to it neil has a way with words. I thought the book would be about pickup techniques but he explains what drove them to become pua the emptiness and the dark sides of being a pua. It takes guts to admit to those things . Lastly I've never liked Tyler from rsd but this book explains how the pick up industry destroyed itself and became a victim of its own success Julien blanc case in point
"A crazy yet very human story"
There is something to learn here.. Passing from the excitement of the beginning till the realizations in the end this book is a very well writter human experience.
An interesting insight into human behaviour and psychology. I'm glad he got out in the end though. Slow burner but leaves you wanting more.
"Awesome! What an author"
A real and raw story from a gifted writer and person sharing a minuscule amount of his intelligence which is enough to overwhelm most.
Great book, I couldn't stop listening. A must listen to all them geeky, nerdy guys out there like myself. I
"Brilliant, the story with the material."
I listened/read it in 3 days; within 2 I had girls that had dismissed me, messaging me and starting conversations with me
"Missing parts from original book!"
The story is interesting and funny. There are some really funny episodes.
I think they are all quite funny and they didn't truly understand the potential of the market until the end of the book.
Haven't listened to anything else from him as a narrator.
The Game - Be your best self or The Game - don't hate the player, hate The Game.
This is the way the community was in the beginning. Nowadays it has become more of a self help-community as well as being better with girls.
People seem to have understood that being an attractive man is hard to fake in the long run and you actually need to be attractive and have an attractive lifestyle to be attractive.
The bootcamps are however insanely priced now.
Style wrote this book and really bashed RSD as a cloning company out to control people and their opinions about RSD
He also bashed Mystery without actually saying it out loud, almost as a neg.
Style himself doesn't come out as a super person either. He imitated Mystery with the peacocking and magic tricks even though he wasn't a magician at all.
There are parts missing in this audiobook. For example there is nothing about the trip to Odessa and to the country that didn't exist. Neither the part where Style goes surfing and hanging on the beach with is it Playboy or Sickboy, can't remember. No Social Robots post either.
it's very long there's something to learn for everybody I wouldn't call myself a ladies man others would. being black in the UK and athletic wasn't short of female attention. looking back I could of been with twice as many if I read this first lol.
What a great listen, really opens your eyes. really made me think of the behaviour of my womanising mates, all adds up! I just wish I was capable of learning all that stuff haha!
