most of Ed's opinion was biblical. but, not all...

What made the experience of listening to The Demonologist the most enjoyable?

I have followed the cases that Ed and Lorraine Warren had worked on for most of my life. It was nice to hear information that I hadn't heard before.

What other book might you compare The Demonologist to and why?

I have a whole library of Christian deliverance books. This book has a lot of correct biblical information, but with a few glaring and dangerous opinions that are not in agreement with what Jesus taught. For instance, Ed believed in reincarnation instead of having the knowledge of generational spirits, and how they can enter a baby as it emerges from the birth canal. These are the spirits who stay with one family until someone in that line breaks the soul ties with that demon. Have you ever heard someone say, " all the women in our family can see ghosts." ? THAT is what generational spirits do; work in one family until they are made to leave. Jesus said "it is appointed for a man to live once, and after that the judgement." I tis also written that "the sins of the father is visited upon the children. " Generational spirits can be this way also. What you do in your lifetime can effect your children for many generations to come.

Which character – as performed by Todd Haberkorn – was your favorite?

Ed

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

Yes. I was very upset that Ed told the reporter about a girl having been delivered from demon possession. He explained that she was beyond her years in knowledge of evil as a child because she had lived other lives before, and was a practicing witch in those previous lives. He was wrong. Somewhere in her family line, someone had invited the demon into the family, and as a baby, perhaps in the event of her birth itself, she was possessed. He also said that hell- as the bible teaches (a real place with real fire and "gnashing of teeth" where the damned will be tormented forever)- didn't exist as a real place, but Hell is just being separated from God. He stated that when the demons talked about Hell and the fires that they were trying to escape, they are nothing more than an exaggeration.

Any additional comments?

Yes. I was raised with a Christian mother, a wiccan father, and in a family with a variety of views from our American Indian heritage thrown in for good measure. I have seen "ghosts" since I was a little girl, 2 or 3 years old. I also had a ghost for a best friend in one house that we lived in for years. She interacted with me, moved things in my room, and even ran a bath for me as I watched. I have had prophetic dreams all my life, and they have ALWAYS come true, even when I was too young to understand what had happened, or why. In school I was called "witch'' because I could smell death, and told a carload of fellow students (not my friends) that someone was going to die at a school function. I could smell death as we went through the gates. I also couldn't see; everything went black in the middle of a summer sun filled day. (I didn't MEAN to tell them. I was crying, telling my friend-who drove us-what was happening. I didn't want them to go with us because I didn't know them.) I was a Christian and all my friends knew that. How did it happen that I was still having those "gifted moments"? Since I reached an age of maturity, I made it my responsibility to research what the bible, Jesus, said about what I've lived through. I have since learned that I had to break those soul ties myself to be delivered from what had run in my family for generations. The fact that Ed didn't know that, and even now-after his death- his ignorance can still affect the curious AND those in mortal danger, turns my blood cold. I pray that Ed learned the truth before he was called to go into eternity, and I pray that those who hear this/read this book are only those mature enough to know the difference. Gb~

Fantastic but very scary

Best audio book I've listened to. On par with 'The Excorcist' film. May cost you some sleep. Have a rosary with you.

Ed & Lorraine Warren are amazing

I admit, I was not sure what to expect going into this book. I was afraid it was going to be full of monotone, boring stated facts. IT WAS SO TOTALLY NOT!

Ed and Lorraine Warren are amazing. R.I.P. Ed Warren. I had no idea the true impact that the Warren's have had on this earth until I listened to this book. The amount of knowledge and spiritual power that both Ed and Lorraine hold is beyond comprehension. The danger and peril they have put themselves in time and time again to help others is the most selfless and devout thing another human could ever do for someone. When I found out that Ed left the mortal world in 2006, I actually wept. Tears of sadness for his amazing wife Lorraine, his family and all the lives he has touched and could have touched with the amazing power he has in his beliefs and knowledge. Ed Warren and his wife Lorraine are truly touched by God himself. They are not "men of cloth" as Ed likes to put it. I think they are something even more specialized.

I hope and pray that anyone that was blessed enough to be helped by this amazing duo has carried on the ways of the Warren's and shared in their amazing Glory. Prior to reading this book, I admit that I thought I knew a lot. After finishing this book, I realize that Ed and Lorraine Warren have taught me A LOT in the few hours I spent listening to them than I have learned the whole 41 years I have been on this earth. For this, I say "Thank you Ed and Lorraine". Someday when you two are reunited in Heaven, I hope to be able to say Thank you in Person in the Heavenly plane. I only wish I could have met you on earth.

eye opening and alarming!

I've always known about the spirit world but had no idea it was this bad! I am glad I have a personal relationship with Jesus! I am a firm believer of God and the holy trinity.

I appreciate what these people have done. Their knowledge and experience has given people their lives back.

This book is highly recommend and to be taken seriously. It is frightening, down right terrifyingly.
