Exceptional
Starting, this on the plane from my hometown of Alabama. It was, so piercing in my heart of how the Holy Spirit worked in the lives of this young pastor and the gang kids of New York. Seeing many come to Him just as they are.

A faith building book
Our church hosts teen challenge once a year and it is so amazing to hear how it all came to be. David’s amazing story is one of faith and moving power of the Holy Spirit. This book built my faith up and overjoyed me! Hearing about the stories of young men and women who have overcome heavy addictions is so inspiring and makes me so excited for what the Holy Spirit is going to do in my life and everyone’s the spirit will touch.

The book is filled with stories which will encourage and strengthen. You’ll leave reimagining things in your own life and having courage in the face of challenges. Paul Michael narrated this book so wonderfully – great impressions and making it come alive. Highly recommend!!

Crossing Over Into Compassion, Switching Over to a Deeper LOVE
What a powerfully compassionate account of how Teen Challenge began, how lives were IMPACTED but most of all, how GOD Transforms! I don't think I've ever listened to something so intensely as I did this book. I could hear the heartbeat of the author in every word. As a native New Yorker, I could sense the grit/harshness of the city in every description. I didn't know the city at that time but I could certainly get a clear picture of the atmosphere and social ills that plagued the city at that time. I could feel the hardened hearts of those being ministered to, so the transformation of each individual and the establishing of the center became so much more REAL! I have family that has suffered with addiction and God did a work in me in the area of compassion and empathy I. Respect to that. While I've grown a whole lot this book, certainly helped me to "Cross" Over Into a NEW LEVEL of Compassion and "Switch" over into a Deeper LEVEL of LOVE. If you have not read The Cross and The Switchblade, you really should!
