Surprisingly excellent.

Was looking for another "Art of" or "Laws" book when I came across this. I'm not a huge 50 Cent fan but decided to give The 50th Law a shot out of curiosity and I'm very glad I did. It feels like a well narrated/designed 48 Laws + Art of Seduction + (your favorite business book) + (your favorite motivational book).

One of my favorite aspects of this book is that between all the business, you will find that the 50th Law is full of Buddhist teachings on the nature of suffering, conquering negativity and the cultivation of a self-aware objective mindset.

A Miraculous Light from the Underworld.

Robert is a sure bet. I knew nothing of 50 Cent or Curtis Jackson. Now I want to know him more. Most important, I've found a bit more of myself. One for the desk.

great knowledge kicked in this book on life, struggle, seeing the future and following the beat of your own drum, chasing your destiny, and not letting one thing stand in between you and god-like greatness. inspiring chefs and restaurant hospitality professionals should read this. this book screams how us old cats, had to make it in and out of the kitchen. The history to compare leaders throughout time and comparing their chess to hustlers in the hood, Super Dope. Chapter 10 had me at hello. If you could sum up The 50th Law in three words, what would they be?

The road map for the young businessman. I've read a number of books (28 this year) Some of my favorite authors such as Simon Sinek, Malcom Gladwell and Darren Hardy all say similar things as this book. However, this book has a certain "Grit" to it that is not found in those other books.

What other book might you compare The 50th Law to and why?

The compound effect. Both books really stress the importance of habits, work ethic and the ability to develop as a person in order to be successful. In addition, they both focus on steady growth and big results by doing what others won't. What is commonly referred to as the boring stuff. I love it.

Which character – as performed by 50 Cent and Robert Greene – was your favorite?

50 Cent ... However, he wasn't the most important. He was a focal point of the book. Robert Greene tied it all together though with other examples in history and practical application.

What did you learn from The 50th Law that you would use in your daily life?

Boring, relentless work ethic is what gets it done. Also the chapter on making $h!T into Sugar was mind blowing. Amazing read just for those two chapters.

Any additional comments?

The author kept referring back to when 50 got dropped by Columbia. I felt he could have done so much more with his story and also touch on how 50 built his team more. A team is a vital part of any person's professional and personal growth. Overall though, excellent book.

Overall good lessons

I didn't agree with everything in the book, but overall there were many good lessons. This book would be especially helpful for someone who was just starting out trying to find some direction on how to get ahead.

It was a little repetitive sometimes, but it was an easy listen.
