Drawing on her lifetime of experience in vaudeville and cabaret, Aussie icon Toni Lamond razzles and dazzles in this performance of her mesmerizing memoir. Still a Gypsy is the sequel to Lamond’s first autobiography, the best-selling First Half, and chronicles her time spent in Los Angeles, working in theater and television, and her mid-nineties return to Australian stages. In her urbane cabaret drawl, Lamond doles out yarn after yarn, each a tribute to her playful personality and time-honed stagecraft. The former comedienne brims with light-hearted good humor, while at the same time keeping things honest and intimate. To that end, listeners will immediately feel a strong rapport - a warm familiarity - with this storied and celebrated entertainer.
Toni Lamond has lived and breathed show business all her life and has had a distinguished career in TV, cabaret and the musical stage. She has since returned to live permanently in Australia.
