The Vision and Mission of Jobs

I liked how the author captured Jobs from the eyes of the people around Jobs

A truthful insight into Steve Jobs Life

The book not only speaks of the positives but negative too about Steve Job. This made me believe that it book is unadulterated biography of Steve. It has a lot of inspiration and a must read for people with some passion towards technology

Great person and great book

I appreciate both a lot the work of Steve Jobs and of Walter Isaacson telling about it. Too bad Steve Jobs died so early, he could do way more. I guess, he continues inspire people and this makes him live.

An interesting story from the author's perspective

This is an interesting story, however the same point was mentioned many times within the book which makes the book lasting over 24 hours!

Brutally Honest

If you could sum up Steve Jobs in three words, what would they be?

Inspirational, petulant, but strangely likable.

Who was your favorite character and why?

Steve Jobs. It was interesting to find out more about Jobs' whirlwind personality. As I progressed through the book, Steve's annoying arrogance peeled away and revealed his true personality. Intelligent and rough around the edges.

Have you listened to any of Dylan Baker and Walter Isaacson (introduction) ???s other performances before? How does this one compare?

No, but the narration was excellent. The narrator's voice took some getting used to, but I ended up liking his no-frill approach.

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

Jobs' written declaration of love toward his wife near the end of his life, uncovered his sensitive and human side. A rare and moving occurrence.

Any additional comments?

I really liked this book, because it's a brutally honest portrait of a truly inspirational technological leader. It doesn't attempt to

An insightful look behind the curtain

A fantastic insight into a man who's complex life has affected all of our lives. A very comprehensive account that shows how Apple and Pixar became the companies they are today. Dylan Baker does a great job narrating this book. I highly recommend it.

Oh Wow!

A great book about a truly great man, a genius who was at all times true to his own Self. One feels humbled, grateful, and terribly sad that the world has lost Steve Jobs. A great loss.
I didn't know the history before listening to this book, so it was very interesting listening, and its hero is truly inspirational! Larger than life.

Solid book with a lot of interesting facts

Would you listen to Steve Jobs again? Why?

Probably not because I paid good attention to it the first time, a few days later I saw a movie on Steve Jobs and knew everything they were talking about.

Also, the book is nearly 30 hours.

What other book might you compare Steve Jobs to and why?

None really, I'm usually not a fan of autobiographies but this book was exceptional.

What does Dylan Baker and Walter Isaacson (introduction) bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

It brings my attention to the story, I probably couldn't read the whole book if it wasn't in audio form.

If you were to make a film of this book, what would the tag line be?

Psycho hippy who changed the world
