Suprised

A well written story about a very interesting man. Dylan Baker does a wonderful job and is never boring. Walter Isaacson could have easily made Jobs out to be a cold and bad person, but stayed basically objective. He presents the observations and lets the reader decide.

Jobs life was an adventure

You may not like apple, but you can denny that Steve Jobs made his dent in this world.

Isaacson did an amazing job connecting the dots from Steve’s life. From his origins, where he grew up, his early choices and the impact of all this trough his life.

It’s at the sametime the history of one person and of our world.

You’ll never get bored in this book, and there is a lot to learn how this guy was able to create all he did.

Anyone who likes tech should get a copy and enjoy it, liking he or not. I admire his achivements, at the same time feel sorry about how trouble was to be around him. Anyway, i can’t see why anyone would regreat getting this book

Great Book / A Bit Buggy

When I say a bit buggy I mean very little bit; but still. For its price, buggy.

An Amazing Story ... (and I did not like Apple)

Would you listen to Steve Jobs again? Why?

Not the whole book but maybe parts, however I am more a listen once kind of person

What other book might you compare Steve Jobs to and why?

This is one of the epic tales like Jack Welsh "Straight from the Gut" and Who says elephants can't dance Louis Gerstner -- together with a great Biography that is well researched, to me it is one of the most interesting blended Biographies with the history of Apple and Pixar (but that was his life as well)

Any additional comments?

I really was not a fan of Steve Jobs nor Apple, always thought he was a tyrant and apple a corporate beast ,, that pretended to be nice but always ruthless and not philanthropic and just hoodwinked people. I have to say after the biography it made me take a different view on things in some ways but in other let me understand why I had that view... The book does not pull any punches and I left with the feelings Steve Jobs was one of the biggest a-holes (quote from the book) but also an amazing person that did amazing things.

Amazing tale told ably

Isaacson does a thorough job of telling this real life and almost unbelievable tale.

It's great that he offers an opinion on the Mac vs everything else debate, and generally he does an excellent job, although sometimes his conclusions lack nuance.

I knew the order that everything happened in, but the brilliance of this book is the insight and detail into the people that it offers. So even as a technophile I learned a lot about key people, including Jobs and Gates. And Isaacson must be applauded for definitely not writing a one-sided account.

The narration was very professional but I never really got the feeling that I was being told a story - they were words being read.
