Fascinating!

This is not a book I would normally have read but my book club selected it. I loved it! It is an outstanding book, well written and well read. A great story about a fascinating man who changed the world but was, at the same time, very difficult to be around. Additionally, it is the story of the birth and growth of a company, and gives the reader insight into what makes Apple different from PC and Google products.

For the most part it gives you the story of Steve Jobs from his eyes and the pacing in general is good.

Any additional comments?

Steve picked the wrong guy. Isaacson gets a really major thing wrong about Steve's story. Next was not a worthless purchase from Apple. The OS from Next is the foundation of OSX and even iOS, basically powering modern Macs and iOS devices. This is common knowledge among techies.

An amazing, nostalgic trip!

I loved reliving Steve's and apples history. it was great to see the different sides of a man with such a mixed reputation.

Great biography

great biograhy. no candy coating, true to the nature of the man, great narrator, sped to 1.5 speed and the pace was perfect for me. not my favorite topic , that's why 4 stars

Everyone needs to read this book!

Fantastic book on the life of Steve Jobs. I feel I have a better of understanding of the truly amazing man he was and how he revolutionized the tech industry and the world. Definitely a must read!!

Amazing Book

Left me longing for the next 20 years of Steve Jobs' life that could've been. Really well told and provides the reader with a well rounded perspective on jobs. The good, the bad, the incredible, and the ugly. Thought provoking and powerful.

Captivating, enlightening, and inspiring.

Provides Jobs’ life story from himself, his coworkers, family, friends, and enemies.

The story and narration were so captivating I finished this book in roughly 3 sittings.

I have a much better appreciation of Steve’s innovative attitude, and how influential he was to so many industries.

I’d recommended this book to everyone because we have all been affected by the events of this book.

Humanizing the Myth

It is hard not to end up with a different perspective towards Jobs after completing this journey. And surprisingly, it is not one of complete admiration. This book humanized Jobs through his genius and through the awfulness of his personality... seriously. The narrator was excellent and the insights of the books are remarkable and really enjoyable.

Some people are driven . This is a great window into a driven persons world .

Makes me wonder what he could have achieved . even with more acid
