Publisher's summary

You know him from the hit A&E show Duck Dynasty - now you can enjoy Uncle Si's tall tales, crazy exploits, and quirky one-liners in one raucous collection!

"These hands are so fast, I can get your wallet before you know it. In a minute, you'll be standing there buck naked and won't know what hit you!"

"Look here - if it wasn't for my tripped knee, I'd be playing in the NBA today."

"Hey, Jack!"

Any of these sound familiar? If they do - or even if they don't - you're in for a good laugh. The brother of patriarch Phil Robertson, Uncle Si has a limitless supply of stories about his childhood, duck hunting adventures, his days in Vietnam, and everything in between. Now the best of those tales are gathered into this roaring collection.

Si shares stories of the more than 25 marriage proposals he's received in the mail (some with photos!), how he came to use a green Tupperware cup for his ever-present sweet tea, and how his cigarette smoke made a deer cough (he's since quit smoking). And in many of these never-before-heard tales, Si openly talks about his wife and two children - who are never seen and rarely mentioned on the show.

Si's one-liners are sure to please die-hard fans and curious newbies alike. In no time, this smattering of zany stories will have you falling over with laughter and retelling them to all your friends.

Great Book and Spectacular Performance!

If you're anything like me, you were a little disappointed when you saw that Si is not the one reading this. However, I would almost say this makes the audiobook better. most of the book is staged in his younger days, before his beard was quite so grey. And while I'm sure that he would've done a great job reading this, the person reading sounds exactly like what I imagine middle aged Si would sound like. Most notably, he has the same energy in his voice that Si would if he was reading. The same goes for any book written by Si.

Should Have Been Si

Would you consider the audio edition of Si-cology 1 to be better than the print version?

Don't know.

What was one of the most memorable moments of Si-cology 1?

His stories of Vietnam--particularly the story of the missing engine.

What didn’t you like about Si Robertson’s performance?

The narrator did a good job. However, I would have appreciated Si reading the whole book--not just the opening and closing chapters.

As my mama would say, “Uncle Si is full of P&V”

What a wonderful journey the Lord has allow Si Robertson to take in his life on planet earth. I cannot help how much Si reminds me of my dad...Never short on words, wisdom and just a good ole tale to tell. My dad passed away in January 2000 but I have a feeling if he’d lived to be a bit older he may hav resembled Uncle Si too.

I so enjoyed hearing about your time in Vietnam and the other places you were stationed while serving in the United States Army. It was such a pleasure to get aquatinted with your family and to know what love you’ve shared these many years with your wife Christine.

This book made me laugh out loud several times, caused me to shout ‘Amen’ a few times and even brought a tear to my eyes as you spoke about your personal relationships with your children.

I highly recommend anyone who served in the Vietnam Conflict to purchase this book to reminisce of good and bad times gone by. I also think everyone else who enjoys learning more about the Robertson clan get this book.

As Si might say, “Hey Jack, it’s almost Christmas, so buy all your family a copy of the book”...who knows you may run into the Country’s favorite Uncle Si, and he may sign your book too!
