Publisher's summary

Eighty thousand words, 100 serial killers, 100 short stories - but thousands of victims. I've selected at random 100 from A to Z. For many beginner true-crime fans, this will give you just enough taste to each story that, if you want to find out more about a particular serial killer, you can search for related books.

The ultimate reference for anyone compelled by the pathologies and twisted minds behind the most disturbing of homicidal monsters. From A to Z, there are names you may not have heard of, but many of you are familiar with notorious names serial killers such as; John Wayne Gacy, Jeffrey Dahmer, Ted Bundy, Gary Ridgway, Aileen Wuornos, and Dennis Rader, just to name a few. This reference book will make a great collection for true crime enthusiasts. Each story is in a Reader's Digest short form.

"A compendium of 101 serial killers in "Reader's Digest" style. A recommended reference book of madmen and women" (Publisher's Weekly)

"A good read; great reference tool for true crime book addicts and contains just the facts. no glitter, no embellishments, just facts on 101 serial killers." (Serial Killers Magazine)

Murder and Blood Lust to the max

What made the experience of listening to Serial Killers Abridged the most enjoyable?

The fountain of content, and the short chapters each providing another crazed killer

Who was your favorite character and why?

Plenty for anyone exploring the darkness of humanity

Which scene was your favorite?

So many locations of lives coming to an end

If you were to make a film of this book, what would the tag line be?

The end of humanity

Any additional comments?

This book is a treasure of depravity. This book is a must for anyone who likes to read True Crime and the darkest side of the subject.

The book gives you plenty of detail upon each the Serial Killers including dates, victims, and the outcome of each case. The word count on each case is perfect for short spurt reading that is if you can put it down without going into the next case. No wasted fluff in the writing just right to the facts.

As a bonus you also get an extra writeup from JJ Slate contributing to the 101 Serial Killer so you get a taste of her very impressive style of writing, I'm already becoming a fan of hers.

A very chilling compilation of tales of murder.

Very good narrator who knows how to tell a story! I highly recommend anything by RJ Parker.

Good

Any additional comments?

If you like real crime content this is a good book. The narrator is decent and the chapters are short but good.

Should be great but...

Interesting material is let down by mediocre research, basic mistakes, bad grammer and a lack of insight. It takes talent to make a subject like this one drag. Once he started talking about the Yorkshire Ripper paying a prostitute 5 dollars instead of pounds he totally lost me.

Hard to follow the narrator

I liked the story but the Narrator was monotoned which made it slightly hard to follow. Overall it would be good as a an iBook.

This book is a little boring even in audible..Can't get into it. I think it could have been more detailed.

Quick and Easy Reference Guide

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

I would recommend this book to anyone for anyone with a new interest in serial killers. It gives you quick biographies from a wide range of serial killers throughout history. Quick chapters which are easy to read and give you a good summary for the entire career of each serial killer. However, if you're a seasoned serial killer researcher you won't necessarily learn any new information. But, it still would work in a collection as a quick reference guide.
