Although most of the stock manipulations described in Reminiscences are now illegal, the stories in this book are really fascinating. The author was a trader in the days when the Big Board was just that: a big chalk board with clerks running around writing in share prices. Still, this is a fascinating read, and you don't have to be a subscriber to Investors Business Daily to enjoy this. He begins in bucket shops before the turn of the last century, takes you through the Panic of 1907 and goes up to the 1929 crash. The observations of the author, who made and lost fortunes, are relevant to anybody who confronts risk on a daily basis. The narration is very clear, very well done.

AMAZING. A CLASSIC THAT WILL HOLD YOUR BREATH

Where does Reminiscences of a Stock Operator rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

You feel Livingstone's emotions ! Breathtaking narrative. Although it shows pit reality (not comom today), the emotions that who have already taken a heavy futures position are very similar to author's narrative.

Great listen (read), Even almost 100 years later

If you could sum up Reminiscences of a Stock Operator in three words, what would they be?

Amazing trading information

What does Rick Rohan bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

Rick provides a vocal environment that is absolutely captivating, you feel liek a fly on the wall. He provides the perfect imagery to allow sight in his words.

Any additional comments?

I really enjoyed this book. I forgot I was listening for guidance on my own option trading philosophy at times because I was so engrossed in the stories.

I left with more than I came for.

Some Things Never Change

This book may be older than me, but many things that were happening when it was written are still happening now. Obviously history does repeat. I mean that it is fascinating and hard to believe that things have changed so little in the stock market in almost 100 years.

This book is so easy to listen , even for hours at a time.

A masterpiece on trading

It is a true pleasure to follow Jessie Livermore aka Larry Livingston through the world of stock trading, Wall Street, brokers and speculation.

Most stunning was the fact, that despite being published in 1922, it could have been written yesterday. The nature of speculation has never changed. Technology did, but nothing else. Just brilliant.

The language used in the book is old fashioned, which made it an even greater pleasure to read.
