Written in his early 60s, Tesla looks back on the events that shaped his life as the inventor of our modern world. Like many exceptional artists, scientists, and engineers, Tesla's senses and intellect worked on a higher level, which often afflicted him physically. Yet he overcame, and used his special abilities and strong educational background to make electricity the servant of man. He personally invented radio, AC electricity, remote-control, and initiated a plan for the first wireless network. He believed in using renewable energy, and developed the first hydroelectric power plants. And always, his altruistic goal was to make a better world for mankind.

Interesting book, and a great insight into the Genius. However the narrator is rather irritating at times when he tries to act out some of the lines with an almost soap opera style of expression.
Once you get over how self impressed he was writing this it becomes fairly entertaining to hear Tesla describe his own virtues. An interesting book. I was a little disappointed that this didn't cover all of his life, but being written at a time when many of his plans and ideas were still being implemented it's interesting to know now what he actually did and did not accomplish.
yes, as I am interested in the subject the narration was good
I was looking for more nuts and bolts. Having heard the Wizard the life and times of Nicola Tesla, which was packed with information, I found this book to be lacking
Some of his childhood stories
It was nice to hear his stories in his own words
Interesting book but was difficult to listen to at times. The reader was often too dramatic and read lines in a manner which leaves the listener annoyed. The worst part of this audio book was the incessant lip-smacking-wet-saliva noises which, with eyes closed, tricked me into believing that I was trapped in a damp basement wearing squishy socks and soggy boots.
this is a great listen it is easy to believe you are listening to his voice.
some of it was over my head...
but I loved how he talked about the Unique way is mind worked ..
and his personal history.
I think he wanted to give us the web way back then...
I wish he had talked more about the challenges of Capitalism's deathgrip over his Ideas.
very enjoyable... I will listen to it again.
this is an interesting autobiography on nikola tesla however its lacking greatly on the specifics of his life. its like listening to a quick summary of his entire life rather than a true autobiography.
I enjoyed this book immensely. I felt like I was sitting by a fireside listening to Tesla tell his stories. I think the book was well written it came from his hand and it was narrated very well..
It is amazing to see what an impact Nikola had and scary how well he saw the future.
Somebody who need to be put to sleep.
Have somone other than Telsa write the book.
Telsa was great, but this book was boring.
This was one of the worst books I listened to from audible, of the more than 100 I have purchased. Poorly written and performed. A biography of Tesla rather than an autobiography would have been better.
