Loved it!
I loved this book so much, I bought two books for my daughters. It's a wonderful story about how complex yet simple a mother/ daughter relationship is. Even though it was a little difficult to listen to the narrator (Ms. Angelou), I quickly got past it because the story was captivating. It's short, but well worth it. I even listened twice in a row because I just wasn't ready for it to be over yet.

Absolutely beautiful.
I enjoyed this audio book tremendously. To hear maya Angelou read it was equally joyous. I feel like through Maya her mom was my mom. Love is the thing that we have in common and Maya shared her story as an human story. Thanks Maya Angelo u for sharing your story.

A Life Changing Listen
After listening to the amazing book, Dr. Maya Angelou became my mother. She also gave life to a love and respect that I have for my mother and one that I desire to deepen with my mother and sisters. Loved all of it!!!!!

maya angelou's mom & me & mom
Maya Angelou's soothing, affirming voice speaking of ordinary life is somehow extraordinary, and i am relieved of my distractions, she's a light. This one about her wildly interesting mama Vivian Baxter, and their unique relationship, is the third of her autobiographical works I've loved this year, I am so glad there's more.
