    "A wonderful tale!"

Expertly narrated, this audio book is an interesting, amusing and endearing series of anecdotes on the highlights and also, the inevitable trials, of running Jersey Zoo. Truly, it is a great loss to the animals and to his enchanted readers that Mr. Durrell had to depart this world! RIP, Gerald. A commentary has been added as a post-script on the modern approach the zoo (now a Trust) takes on the global importance of species conservation.
