Paul Carter
At forty years old, a successful writer, husband and father, no longer toiling on offshore drilling rigs, was Paul Carter happily nestled in the cotton wool of suburban life enjoying the fruits of his labour? Was he f**k!
With his manic life left far behind and the perfect opportunity to take it easy stretched before him what else would a middle-aged, bike obsessed, man want? Yes, that's right, he'd want to be the first guy to ride around Australia on an underpowered experimental motorcycle that runs on used cooking oil, wouldn't he? Preferably without getting hit by a semi-trailer full of bridge parts. Is he out of his mind? Quite possibly. Carter is back to his old balls-to-the-wall style of writing, prepare to laugh out loud.

If you could sum up Is That Thing Diesel? in three words, what would they be?
A funny storyWhat did you like best about this story?
Carters battle with the cockroach and his very australian voice and reactionsHave you listened to any of Paul Carter’s other performances before? How does this one compare?
Yes, but don't think this is as good as "Don't Tell My Mum I Work on the Rigs"Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?
Do not listen to this book while drinking in public or someone will get covered in drink and spittleAny additional comments?
I was dissapointed at the start of the book. I thought it was a big let down and not as funny as "Don't Tell My Mum I Work on the Rigs". But it soon picked up and I was again a very happy boy for purchasing this oneAnother hit for Paul Carter
