A riveting, transformative account

The author's courage to share her experience with Islam is inspiring. I was fascinated by how her mother, grandmother, and sister were also all strong women who struggled in very different ways with their religion. Ali's magnanimity toward her mother reminded me of Thi Bui's empathy toward her parents in The Best We Could Do.

Eye Opening

Ayaan's story should be heard by those who foolishly believe that all cultures are good. Liberals need to defend liberalism before it is too late.

Amazing my brave, thought-provoking memoir

I can't recommend this book more highly. It is timely, personal, and gripping. Ms. Hirsi Ali details childhood abuse, experience in the Muslim Brotherhood, and escape to Western Europe in a engaging prose that reads like a well-crafted novel. Then she challenges the reader to examine their views and assumptions about their Muslim neighbors in the West. The book was time well spent, and I'm a better, more compassionate and resolved person for listening.

Unbelievable story! What a woman!

Would you consider the audio edition of Infidel to be better than the print version?

Did not read the print, but enjoyed the audio. Read by the author so you get genuine reflection and tone as it was intended to have. I would have had trouble pronouncing many words, so this was excellent.

Who was your favorite character and why?

Author! Amazing!

What about Ayaan Hirsi Ali’s performance did you like?

Enjoyed the entire performance. Tone, cadence, as if she sat down to tell you the story herself.

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

Did not laugh or cry, but completely amazed me and opened my eyes to a world we know little about.

Any additional comments?

Must read / listen!! Highly recommend.

Stupendous.

I enjoyed listing and think that it should be required reading for everyone. A life that I couldn't imagine. Straight from the Heart and cuts to the bone. God bless.
