I really liked the brief glimpse into Betty Whites life. She seems like a great person, who happens to be a good actress. I think Betty is someone who positively impacts the lives of everyone she meets. The book had a few "repeated sentences' that would have been better omitted but the book was very enjoyable.
Betty White's excellent comedic timing helps the audiobook quite a bit. I don't think I'd have enjoyed the book nearly as much had it not been read to me by the lady herself. This is the first book I ever read by White, and I'm guessing that her earlier books are probably better. This was fine, I don't want my money or time back, but that's no ringing endorsement. If I lent this book to someone else and they never gave it back, I wouldn't care.
Betty's book ranks 2nd on my audio books that I have listened. Betty is a good narrator
Betty is a very caring person. She loves all human race and the animal kingdom. She is very personable when she talks about a chapter. She makes each chapter memorable and characters seems to be in the same room with her. I personally like her "crush" on Robert Redford...
Upper middle. It was just a fun easy listening book.
Sure. Who doesn't love Betty White? And who doesn't love hearing stories from our more seasoned citizens!
Her love for Allen Ludden is very touching, but I replayed the chapter about Coco over and over, getting emotional each time. I've repeated the story to many friends. Her love of animals is wonderful. I wish I were in her position so I could experience some of her animal encounters.
Betty White is someone all of us can learn something from and enjoy spending time with...even if it's only through an audiobook.
I got it because I heard her in interviews and thought she was hilarious. This book is not funny nor interesting. I didn't finish it.
I love the way Betty tells her stories. She talks about things anyone can relate to and laugh at the jokes again and again.
Where Betty talks about her age and the things she finds funny about them.
"Betty at her best."
I love audible to listen to my books while commuting in the SF Bay Area. It makes the time go by so fast and keeps me engrossed.
A nice quick story from Betty's life. Funny, interesting and gives you a great insight to her life.
Betty White is so pleasant to listen to! I was stuck on a plane delayed on the jetway for over four hours late one night, and just as the other passengers were starting to lose their tempers, I started listening to Betty White and was saved. She's sweet and at times a bit too sentimental for my taste (especially when she talks about animals) but she seems so entirely genuine that I every time I disliked a moment I forgave her instantly. Betty creates an easy rapport in her accessible stories and her warm, happy narration.
I liked Betty White before listening to her read this book. Now, I love this dear lady. She's a blast...young at heart and wise in choosing to love life. I told three people about this book before I even finished listening.
Betty talked about her experience with Coco/Koko the famous primate. What a neat experience to learn about.
I enjoyed listening to this while walking. It felt like Betty was talking and talking with me. Really and enjoyable book from start to finish.
I love Betty White and she is just as bright and chipper in this book as in her TV shows. I have to believe that she must be a delightful person. Hope when I'm 90+ that I have her wisdom and enthusiasm for life. It isn't your typical autobiography but it is interesting and fun to listen to her describe some of the events in her long and eventful life. She loves pets and is always bringing new ones into her home. Hope we never get too old to adopt needy pets. She just makes you feel happy.
