Yes, its a great story about the struggles before ICP got famous and to some it might be inspiring, I recommend this to anyone.
I got to say the time they were on the road and almost got killed by men in black robes, scary but a great story.
This is a great example of don't judge a book by its cover, just because its from ICP don't mean it's not a great story, love every single minute of it. All though the way Violent J talked was a little annoying sometimes, but it was worth it.
For sure, not for everyone. But if you question the rough, ill negativity surrounding ICP, read this. Better if you are a later convert like me, but V Jay reveals and underscores why I love ICP. Redemption baby. Finding faith and light in the dark places most people don't notice, are too pretentious to look. 17 is the key.
As someone who reads a lot of memoirs, this book was extremely well done. Even though it's from 2003, they've updated it in 2016 and done a LOT of ad-libbing and adding on to things. There might be slow parts but Violent J does a good job of telling you "you can just skip these if you don't care".
There is a LOT of cursing, so if that sort of thing offends you or is hard to look past this might not be for you.
All in all I really appreciated the honesty and effort that went into creating this audiobook. I'm not really a fan of ICP's music but I respect them as artists.
Yes to all Ninjas, It was a great Book and even better on audio book.
All of It!!!!

for any Juggalo or person interested in icp this is an awesome story I read the book way back when and loved it I still have it sitting on my book shelf this audio version contains so many extras and you can just really feel how emotional violent J gets when recalling some of them as a Juggalo it really reminds me of why I got into this Family 17 years ago

JUGGALO FOR LIFE!
"Thank you ICP!"
Once upon a time I found a strange single EP called Hokus Pokus (headhunterz edition) and low and behold 20 years later I'm listening to an audio book by violent J. what started as mere curiosity spiralled into obsession as I was absorbed into the dark carnival. If you are a juggalo, you know what I mean. This book brought back so many feelings and emotions that I felt when I first discovered icp and their story. Thank you icp for all the incredible and fresh nostalgia. it answers many questions, explores J's upbringing, details the struggle, the success, the ups and downs, all while inspiring you to do the same. Failure is NOT an option.
I could listen to this book all day. I couldn't WAIT to go out for a walk or grab a bus or hop in my car. sadly I completed it but god Damn am I gonna listen to it again!
this book is Inspiring, real, beautiful, crazy, hilarious, sad, exciting, and very VERY FRESH
Thank you J amd Shaggy.
Much Irish clown love.
"Pure Juggalo paradise within"
This is the best book I have ever read and now heard. Listen as Violent J recalls his whole life in great detail. Pure honesty and insight lies within. The man is a genius, what an incredible story.
