Publisher's summary

Here's Tucker Max's third and final book in his series of stories about his drunken debauchery and ridiculous antics. What began as a simple sentence on an obscure website, "My name is Tucker Max, and I am an asshole," and developed into two infamously genre-defining books, I Hope They Serve Beer in Hell and Assholes Finish First, ends here. But as you should expect from Tucker by now, he is going out with a bang - literally and figuratively.

In this book, you'll learn:

  • How to live and work in Cancun, while still enrolled in Law School
  • Why Halloween is really awesome
  • How to subtly torture a high-strung roommate until he explodes with furious anger over a misplaced condiment
  • What really happened when a dirty pageant girl tried to sue Tucker because he told the truth
  • Why you should never accept a homemade treat from a hippie with a van, and
  • What happens when Tucker turns sexting into a sport.

He's still Tucker Max, and - for one more book - he's still an asshole.

Trilogy complete.

It's a compelling listen. Let me qualify that though. If you read 'Beer In Hell' or 'Finish First' and enjoyed those, you'll like this one too. If you've never heard of Tucker Max before I don't recommend starting with this book - consider this is Part III of III of Tucker's Fratire Trilogy.

More of the same

If you have read any of Tucker Max's previous books, this is more of the same.

Max is a guy who makes no apologies about who he is, and lived up his youth to the fullest. This book has some great stories (including a trip to Alaska to be on "The Deadliest Catch"), and some of the hilarious sexting messages he received after his works made him famous.

If you liked the others, you will like this. If not, skip it.

I like Tucker Max because his stories are NOT for everyone & his books stop me from killing myself

All you people, wait I should say WOMEN need to understand that these books are not your romantic novels or kid friendly stuff they are vulgar true stories that he uses as therapy for an inner problem he has. So you need to lay off of him & learn to laugh because I sure do at his stuff. Tucker Max for President!!!

Not great

This one was definitely the worst of the three. I don't think a lot of time was spent drafting the stories, it seemed very sloppy. He speaks like he's got a mouth full of peanut butter in his mouth. It made it difficult to stay engaged in the story because the performance was so bad.

Deliciously Obscene

If you’re considering this, you’ve probably already read the other Max books, so I don’t really know why you’re reading reviews like some high school girl who keeps reading cosmo thinking she’ll read something insightful.
The read is deliciously obscene per usual and a great way to end the chapter of Tucker’s unscathed indulgence life as we’ve all come to enjoy it.
Get the book already.

More of the same, which is pretty d@mn funny

What made the experience of listening to Hilarity Ensues the most enjoyable?

The author narrates, and his satisfaction with his own handy-work comes through in the audio format.

What was the most interesting aspect of this story? The least interesting?

I love the story about him getting a huge sound system in a new car and immediately driving off to find a cop to get a noise violation.
The stories about just getting wasted and annoying people were a little boring.

What does Tucker Max bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

The book is a collection of funny stories. Everyone likes to tell their funny stories, and I think in audio format you get more of the feel of hanging out with a friend and telling hilarious story than just reading them.

Any additional comments?

If you are familiar with this genre, you won't be amazed, but not disappointed either.

This Fu***** Guy...

I enjoyed this series, it got me through many long work days. Tucker has definitely improved as a writer and narrator since his first book and this final piece might be my favorite. I'm 23 and, if like me, you like to have a few drinks with your buddies and recount wild moments of your own drunken dabauchery, you will enjoy these books. If not, you'll probably hate it and should consider sticking to more tame things like shuffle board tournaments and non alcoholic beer.

Douche bag

How has this jerk off not gotten his A $$ kicked multiple times? I would have knocked his teeth down his throat, had we ever met! If you can over look the fact that half of these stories sound like a bunch of bull $hit, they are still pretty funny and entertaining.
