Publisher's summary

One year ago, Sarah Palin burst onto the national political stage like a comet. Yet even now, few Americans know who this remarkable woman really is.

As chief executive of America's largest state, Sarah Palin had built a record as a reformer who pushed through changes other politicians only talked about: energy independence, ethics reform, and the biggest private-sector energy infrastructure project in U.S. history. While revitalizing public school funding and ensuring the state met its responsibilities to seniors and Alaska Native populations, Palin also brought Big Oil to heel.

She was a Main Street American woman: a working mom, wife of a blue-collar union man, and the mother of five children. But as the presidential campaign unfolded, Palin became a lightning rod for both praise and criticism. And few knew the real Sarah Palin.

In this eagerly anticipated memoir, Palin paints an intimate portrait of growing up in the wilds of Alaska; meeting her lifelong love; her decision to enter politics; the importance of faith and family; and the unique joys and trials of life as a high-profile working mother. She also opens up for the first time about the 2008 presidential race, providing a rare, mom's-eye view of high-stakes national politics - from patriots dedicated to "Country First" to slick politicos bent on winning at any cost.

Going Rogue traces one ordinary citizen's extraordinary journey, and imparts Palin's vision of a way forward for America and her unfailing hope in the greatest nation on earth.

Entertaining

It was what I expected. (aside me supporting or not supporting her in politics, as that does not matter here) I enjoyed the book. She has had an interesting life in my opinion and most people should be able to take a little something home with them.

Its not a powerhouse of intellectual penmanship, its a light autobiography. I found it interesting to know more about the person, and I think it did that.

Going Rogue

I had no idea that so many things were turned the way that they were. It made me satisfied that she resigned as Governor; because it had been a bad move as I read about it here-to-for. I am glad that there are still some people that will fight for America as our nation was founded and when our nation had a fear of the one true God.

I didn't hear that from the main stream media.

If your understanding of Sarah Palin is based upon reporting from the "impartial" main stream media you need to hear her perspective in her own words on the events before and after her Vice Presidential candidacy. If you can't think for yourself don't bother.

Perfect Example of a Hockey Mom

This was just like being in the same room with her and being there for her experiences. I like her more now that she has shown that she is just like she presents herself on TV. Her hockey mom persona is a perfect description of how much her life is as ordinary as anyone else. I was impressed by her attitude and am going to try to emulate it to improve myself even more. Overall it was a great experience listening to her story.

Best of Sarah

This is one of the greatest works I've read in many years. Sarah simply and plainly expresses her memoirs in a way that keeps you wanting to read on. Anyone who has read this book will want to support her for a Free America in the Future.

A true american Icon

I had been skeptical of Sarah Palin during the elections. But after reading her book and having the profound opportunity to meet her in person I must say...she is everything she says she is in the book, and more. This woman is a true Icon and has my full support in anything she undertakes, she's got the spirit that made our country great.

Going Rogue

Sarah Palin is a breath of fresh air, great book, explains why she had people putting her down. Read or listen and form your own opinions not what the news media puts up. I believe that she would make a great President of The USA. Introducing honesty in Government, we must have that.
