In Mike Huckabee's new book God, Guns, Grits and Gravy, he asks the question, "Have I been taken to a different planet than the one on which I grew up?" The New York Times best-selling author explores today's American culture, drawing from his travels as a presidential candidate to present average, small-town people and families, and their optimistic resilience in the face of hard times; their stories, says Huckabee, "will inspire readers to think about their own values and rediscover what makes America great." At times lighthearted, at others bracingly realistic, Huckabee's brand of optimistic patriotism lends itself to discussing the reintroduction of fundamental American values, as well as a bright outlook for future generations.

A excellent perspective of what the average US citizen sees wrong with the national political powerhouses today and the Obama administration. Differently recommend this book.
Mike Huckabee has keen insight into what makes the average American tick. Chapter after chapter he hits the nail on the head with subject after subject!
It truly is a shame that we don't have more political leaders like Mr. Huckabee in this country. He provides an honest insight not only into his political life but into his personal life in this book. His modest upbringing in the south, Christian background, and loyalty and love to his community really shine through in his character.
This book gives you a great insight into the brain of Mike Huckabee. It was refreshing to know someone in politics has common sense and sticks to his beliefs, instead of selling out to the highest bidder.
This book expresses the deep-rooted thoughts and feelings of conservative, hard-working middle class folks who are too often silenced. The delivery is straightforward, honest and comical at times. I recommend this book to anyone who is truly concerned about the direction our country is taking. Get ready for an entertaining recap of our history and our future possibilities!
Mike Huckabee tells about the South and conservative living in a non apologetic way!
I wish everybody could be from the South, the world would be a much better place. A lot of us grew up the same way and understand honesty and hard work
He reads the book himself and does an excellent job.
I liked this book and would love to vote for Mike for President!
I listed to one audio book a week on average. I like biographies, politics, sports, history, and anything related to comic books.
Well worth reading. I disagree with most of his views, but think he expresses his views thoughtfully for the most part.
