    "chapters are not labeled correctly."
What could have made this a 4 or 5-star listening experience for you?

If the labels were labeled correctly and the words were pronounced correctly. My kids cannot follow along in book and find the correct spot on the audible file because the chapters in the file do not match those in the book. Very irritating. I would not have purchased.

How did the narrator detract from the book?

emphasis on wrong syllables in many words

    Any additional comments?

Awesome book. Recording not well done at all
BUY THE BOOK _ NOT THE AUDIO FILE

    "American Classic"
Where does Father and I Were Ranchers rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

This has been a favorite in my house. My kids have listened to the whole thing twice over the summer. I enjoyed it myself as much as I did when I was a kid and my mother read it to me. The narrator of this audiobook is very very good. The recording quality is also good.

What did you like best about this story?

I love the authenticity of the Little Britches series. I also love to see how easily my kids relate to the children in the book.

Have you listened to any of Cameron Beierle’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

No, but I would love to listen to his other work.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

Yes, it was very hard to stop.

    "Not the complete story"

This download only goes thru chapter 9. There are 31 chapters. I would love to know how it ends.

"Wholesome book for young boys and their fathers"

Well narrated. Good material because it created a role model for parents and children. Good descriptions of family life during the homesteading era.

"Very dissappointed , too much cussing."

I purchased the first two books of this series for my 10yr old son. At first we were very pleased. Even his sisters enjoyed them. But as the story progresses some of the male characters begin to cuss. Not just once or twice, but enough that my son, who really enjoyed the story itself, said he didn't want to listen to it anymore. From the many reviews I read, I believed this series to be full of high moral teaching and character building. And it is, except of the apparant belief that it is manly to curse. If you are desperate for good literature for boys, I would suggest buying the books and reading them to your sons so you can skip the language. I learned this lesson the hard way after forking out $30 for the first two audiobooks. For me, I think I'll just keep looking.

    "Great book great performance"

I can hardly believe that this is biographical. The Moody's were remarkable people. I think that this series is one of the best I have ever read.

    "Great Story"

Love the story but did not love the reader. As one reviewer said, it was very distracting for the reader to accent incorrect syllables in words. He also often placed emphasis on unimportant words like "not" and "and" and "or".
