When Annie grabbed at what looked like an opportunity to escape her tumultuous, abuse-filled home, she had never heard the term sex trafficking. Needing money, wanting to be loved, and desperately seeking control of her life, she stumbled into the ever-darkening world of the sex industry as a glamorous, high-class escort in Las Vegas. All that glittered was not gold. She embarked on a dangerous path toward self-destruction. She lost everything she envisioned her new life would bring her, even her own identity. Beatings, abandonment, and death threats became routine - she often wondered if dying would be the best way out.
In Fallen Annie tells her remarkable story of surviving 16 years in the sex industry, breaking free, finding healing, and then reaching back to help others find freedom as well. This riveting memoir opens a window into a sordid, shadowy world - and shows just how bright God's light can truly shine.

An inside look into the sex industry like you've never seen before. Very eye opening and Annie's personal story is very inspiring (albeit horrifying in parts). Unfortunately, I, personally, did not care for the narration style.
I've been wanting to read Annie Lobert's autobiography, "Fallen: Out of the Sex Industry and Into the Arms of The Savior" ever since hearing about it. When I found out it was on Audible with Lobert reading it, I thought, even better.
Like a lot of people, I loved the Julia Robert's movie, Pretty Woman, but have always thought it hurt our society with it's fairy tail look at prostitution.
This is no Pretty Woman!
While Lobert is a beautiful woman, inside and out, to listen to the abuse (physical, mental and emotional) is excruciating, and just about the time you think she will break free, your hopes are dashed. I couldn't help but think while listening that this is not only true of prostitution, but of so many toxic relationships that many of us have endured. I believe this is a good read or listen for our sons and daughters to hear (and promote discussion with parents) as a teaching method to avoid such dangerous traps.
Listening to Annie tell her story I believe is even better than reading the book. You really get a feel for her heart and personality through the sound of her voice that I don't believe the pages alone can convey. I must commend the production of this project.
Overall, I highly recommend this book. It's a testimony of the Lord's power and just how much pain satan causes through the sex trafficking industry.
Avid reader since the age of 10! Love this new way of listening to books while driving! Great way to fall asleep!
The actual raw details of the pimp and prostitutes relationship!
She got the hell away from there!
Her realness and being completey honest. Loved listening to her voice.
All of it!
At the end she found god and really turned her life around, but I felt a little too bored with all the religous information.
Annie Lobert is a great narrator. She totally gave life to the text.
Annie (after her resigning as Fallon) was my favorite character.
I cried many times in many parts.
This book has no FLUFF. Although I have never heard of the author before I know without a doubt that everything in this book is TRUE. It is not pleasant. It is disturbing most of the time but true. She is so sincere and heartfelt. I am more than amazed at the progress she made. She gave me hope. Seriously, I'm in love with this book. I'm speechless against it. This book amazed me greatly: annie's sincerity, her courage to tell her story as it is.
This book changed my life. I wasn't a sex worker but it helped me to realize how much I take things for granted.
I love you Annie. You are awesome and I wish you all the best.
I wanted to say thank you for sharing your story . Your such an amazing woman .. I have also been a huge Stryper fan since the 80s .. It's so amazing that you ended up with Oz Fox . They have been my favorite band for decades ;) .
I am so sorry for the way you were treated . I don't know how people can be so mean . Makes me ashamed I am a man . Your so strong and courageous. I don't know that I would have been wishing Julian anything other than a slow painful death .. I hope one day I can be as strong as you ..
Thank you again for sharing your story ,. I loved listening to you tell it
It's sad how many people are stuck in this lifestyle. It's an eye opener for sure. It's difficult to wrap your brain around it. Just sticks in your brain.

I think it was enhanced the book the Annie read her story
The redemptive story at the end.
It gave me more compassion for those stuck in abuse or sex industry.
Annie's book is a reality for all those that think life as a "prostitute" is easy. Take the time to listen to this fab woman's story and let yours be changed.
