The Appalachian Trail trail stretches from Georgia to Maine and covers some of the most breathtaking terrain in America - majestic mountains, silent forests, sparking lakes. If you’re going to take a hike, it’s probably the place to go. And Bill Bryson is surely the most entertaing guide you’ll find. He introduces us to the history and ecology of the trail and to some of the other hardy (or just foolhardy) folks he meets along the way - and a couple of bears. I loved this book
I really enjoyed listening to Elizabeth narrate this book through Audible. I laughed and I cried a few times and she was the perfect person to narrate it because she made me feel as if I was right there with her. I loved it when Richard from Texas showed up. He is such a funny guy. If you haven't read this book yet then you have to listen to it on Audible. It is great.

I could listen to her stories forever
I'm only about ten years behind, but I finally decided to download "Eat Pray Love", and I absolutely loved it. I haven't read the book, nor have I watched the movie. I'm so glad that I decided to listen to the book first, here on Audible. Elizabeth's narration completes her story, and I can feel her emotion through her speaking. I also love how she gives all of the characters their own accents. What a journey she has lived...I do plan to watch the movie and read the book, but again, so happy that I decided to listen.

Unusual; not for everyone
This was an interesting story. The author undergoes an amazing personal journey specific to your needs. Her solutions are her own. Not all of it was relevant to me, but this was not my story. I found value in parts, but not all. Not a great story but worth listening to.

Overall Enjoyed
I normally listen to books like Twilight Series, Sookie Stackhouse Series and Anita Blake series and I needed a change. I heard a lot of good things about this book and this wasn't what I was looking for but overall I enjoyed it. It is a bit slow but I would recommend to other. Enjoy!

I'd listen to this book again and again and again. Her voice gives so much life to every word. Her memories felt so vivid and colorful. She is absolutely now one of my favorite authors.
