In this truly inspirational audio book, Anita Moorjani relates how, after fighting cancer for almost four years, her body began shutting down - overwhelmed by the malignant cells spreading throughout her system. As her organs failed, she entered into an extraordinary near-death experience (NDE) where she realized her inherent worth... and the actual cause of her disease. Upon regaining consciousness, Anita found that her condition had improved so rapidly that she was released from the hospital within weeks - without a trace of cancer in her body!
Anita had been pushed and pulled by cultural and religious customs since she was a little girl. After years of struggling to forge her own path while trying to meet everyone else’s expectations, she had the realization, as a result of her epiphany on the other side, that she had the power to heal herself... and that there are miracles in the Universe that she’d never even imagined.
In Dying to Be Me, Anita freely shares all she has learned about illness, healing, fear, “being love,” and the true magnificence of each and every human being!

I had a hard time turning off the book because it is so interesting! It was nice that Anita narrated her own book and she did a great job doing so. I will be relistening to this book again and again for sure.
Yes, it's terrific hearing the story unfold in Anita's own voice.... And what a fascinating story it is!
Her whole near death experience was amazing and inspiring!
Everything Anita Moorjani said in this book was something I inherently knew on so many levels but either forgot, had been buried under cultural untruths and fears and/or my own self-doubt and lack of self worth to think I could possibly be correct in my deepest knowingness. This validation is going to now help me move in the direction I feel will truly bring the healing forth I am seeking. I will be listening to this often for the reminder of who my true self is and let my true self lead me. Thank you for sharing your experience and awareness Anita Moorjani! I can see why our dear Wayne Dyer was so persistent in helping you share your truth with the world. Much love to you!
Very thought provoking account of the afterlife and our spirituality. Really pushes the reader to consider a bigger picture, challenge tightly held earthly beliefs and dogma, and reflect on their own self awareness.
I'll be listening to this one again! She shared so much to dwell upon and seriously consider ....
Anita's voice is melodic, her choice of words are well considered and her message is of hope and joy and love for us in the now.
What a wonderful blessing to live in the same lifetime of someone who has experienced such an indescribable journey!
I can't stop recommended it lots of people who need to see this story... that its not over until it's over.
I was specially intrigued to hear her talking about things that somehow I knew but could never describe or explain.
If you are facing something very difficult in your life, or know somebody in that moment, please, bring this light to their life!
This story is a truly treasure to human kind!
It is a stunningly honest autobiography of an ordinary woman to whom an extraordinary experience occurred.
I can't think of another book that moved me so much as Anita Moojani's story. Other books contain spiritual truths but this one touched me in a very special way.
It is hard to say, really, however, perhaps it was the lack of resistance that she had, whilst moving into a different dimension
How she described what happened to her;,particularly the all encompassing, unconditional love that she felt in that state of being
This is a must read book for anyone who is travelling on a spiritual path and exploring their inner light.
"a must read!"
1st few chapters a bit slow. last few mind blowing. so glad I read this
what a beautiful and perfect reality we can allow ourselves to live. Thank you Anita for your words of wisdom. This resonates with me and gives me a huge sense of release.
"Truly Enlightening. Exceptional."
For me this tied together much of what I have learnt over the last few years. highly recommended.
What an amazing story, I really enjoyed listening to Anita and the question an answers chapter was a great idea and answered some of my own questions. A recommended book
"I wish everyone had this book"
I didn't go through an NDE, be I feel and understand what Anita talks about like it was my own experience. Amazing book, it really opens mind and heart.
"Intelligent, sincere and concise"
A great book. A bit of a cheesey title but apart from that a well written in-depth personal account of a thought provoking experience. Anita explains her point in a matter of fact, common sense and humble fashion. It's not too long - she doesn't "milk it" she just makes her point (saying that your can kinda take it or leave it... She's not trying to convince anyone of anything, just telling her story of what happened to her and how she now sees the world).
An inspiring woman.
"Inspiring and life changing"
This beautiful account of Anita's near death experience was so engaging that I had to listen to it in one sitting. I simply could not stop.
I found so many truths that resonated deeply within me, as she described her experience at the time of her death.
I was amazed to find myself thinking that I either knew a particular truth or remembered it.
The book is beautiful in it's honesty and simplistic style. One of those rare occasions where the author makes the book come alive as the narrator. No one else could have done that.
Thank You Anita for sharing your story and thanks to Wayne Dyer for bringing it to my attention through "Wishes Fulfilled".
"Everyone should read this."
This book has changed my entire outlook on life. I had a fear of dying since I was 11 and now I do not fear it. I still want to live and spend time with my loved ones but I don't have that dread anymore. Thank you, you have no idea how much you have helped me xxx
"Worth reading Many insights"
Eloquence of the author enhanced the messages in this book. Much food for thought. And so well written/ expressed. I don't doubt for a minute Anita's experience was real. I would have enjoyed hearing more about the actual NDE. Some of what she said about her feelings of the meaning of being a human being after the NDE were repeated over & over. In a way that was a good reinforcer & illustrator of her experience & subsequent shift on her "take" of life. I fully understand that words are a lacking medium in which to convey her experiences. However less repetition of the changes the NDE wrought in her experience of living, & more staying in the story of the actual event would have even very interesting. I think this is a book of profound hope. I think Anita will make an intensely gifted teacher. I noticed she glossed over the role diet plays in modern day illnesses. I agree our inner self plays a major role; but physical factors & the importance of eating unprocessed food are equally of importance.
