Thank you to the best President

Thank you Mr. Bush for writing this book. You are the best president united state has had. I loved listening to you and better understanding the events. You are a true gentleman. Your integrity, honesty and caring for American people is commendable. You did have one of the toughest presidency and you dealt with a lot of issues where other presidents did not have to. I was 16 when my family left IRAN due to revolution in 1979. Our families were mostly executed. I live in USA since 1979 and never went back to IRAN. I believe if you or your father were president in 1979, the outcome would have been better. Unfortunately we Iranian so dislike Carter for mishandling the IRAN situation and in my opinion the entire mess in Middle East is all result of Carter and his bad decisions. There would have been no 911 if Carter did not mishandle IRAN. Thank you for all you did.

Amazing memoir

The format was a great way to review the presidency. I didn’t expect a non-fiction memoir to bring tears to my eyes but it did at several points. Best part is that George W reads it himself. I appreciated that not everything was sugar coated, that’s real life. I believe president Bush will be remembered as one of the greatest presidents because of how he handled very trying situations.

A must read book or a must listen audiobook

You must read this book to understand what really happened during his presidency. It is always easier to criticize than it is to take decisions. In this book President Bush explains how each and every decision was carefully done based on facts and extensive legal and research background. A patriot who takes pride for keeping America safe he took the heat for bad decisions done by other people like the Governor of Louisiana during Katrina or those who failed to see that Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac were not doing so well. Bush is a very smart man but is portrayed as being not so smart by the main stream media. This book shows that he was a wise commander and chief. I agree with him. History eventually will recognize his merits in an unbiased way in the future. Listen to President Bush express his love to this country, his devotion to keep it safe, his beliefs about God is an inspiration to all of us.

Decision Points was a good book

What did you love best about Decision Points?

I really enjoyed listening to this book and really enjoyed hearing President Bush's voice as he narrates the book. I was emotionally moved as he talked about what happened on 9/11 and especially when he was at Ground Zero. It was emotionally touching because I worked The Hole, but missed seeing him when he came to visit.

He may not have been the best President, but he sure did do his very best to make sure the people of the United States were kept safe. He understood the cost associated with committing troops to go to war and it's a heavy burden to carry regardless of how few or many die.

This was the first time listening to an audio book and enjoyed it. I still prefer reading, but if I'm going to be driving for a long time, I'll get another audiobook for the trip. I'll even listen to a book, when I start my exercise schedule in a few weeks.

What about George W. Bush’s performance did you like?

I enjoyed listening to his voice tell his story.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

I could have if I had a much longer drive.

An invitation to understand his decisions

While I don't agree with everything this (or any) President did, I loved hearing about his decision-making process and I think that his faith and dedication were what this country needed to get through the crises that happened during his time in office.

Fantastic piece of work

This gave some fantastic insight into George Jr's tenure as POTUS. I learned far more during the course of this book (about the former POTUS) than I had known during the 8 year span of his residency. It added much more to hear the stories from his own person, instead of a voice actor.
