All for the love of a horse...
It is never clear to me, when I read stories about the love shared between an animal and a human, exactly who saved who. Does it really matter? What is profoundly obvious in “Chosen by a Horse” is the incredible insight, understanding and self acceptance gained by the writer. A loving and lovely story, one that will stay with you long after the book ends.

A Great Read for All
I downloaded this one to listen with my sister, who is a horse lover and a great equestrian. I really didn't think it would hold my interest but I was surprisingly mistaken. Chosen by a Horse ia truly a captivating story that made me laugh and cry and one that stays with you for a long time after the read. Most certainly worth the download.

The "notebook" for horses.
Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?
Yes, good story line. Will make you cry though.
What was one of the most memorable moments of Chosen by a Horse?
Can't tell because it would ruin the story for you if I told you.
What does Lorna Raver bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?
The book came to life with the struggle and victory of the lead character. The reader totally pulled me into all the emotions and goodness of the story. I laughed and cried. Good kind of a cry though. Enjoyable laugh too.
Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?
I could have listened to it all at once , but since I listen while I sew or cook I had to go on to other things.

I was reminded of “Black Beauty”
I absolutely love this book. A memoir of a horse owner who is one of many to adopt 40 abused horses from the SPCA. It’s like listening to a grandmother telling her stories of her relationships & experiences with her horses. What I like most is how each horse’s personality is portrayed.
It reminds me of “Black Beauty” in its description of how some animals come to be neglected & mistreated... Although Black Beauty delved deeper into the hardships horses underwent not very long ago.

A Beautiful Heartfelt Story
This was a beautiful and heartfelt story. So relatable if you are an animal lover and especially if you have, or have been around horses enough to learn their personalities.
This book had me laughing out loud (literally), and at times brought tears to my eyes. I enjoyed traveling through time with Susan as she shared her experience.
Awesome naration as well.
