The book led to a book tour, in the course of which, Susan reconnected with family and friends whom she had cut herself off from. She had given up on romance, but at the second reading of her tour she encountered the man who had sold her his house 24 years earlier, Dennis Stock, a world-famous photographer. Despite her many qualms about age and intimacy, they fell in love.

"Charismatic....her charming, self-effacing humor keeps the tone light....Engaging writing by an honest self-explorer." (Kirkus Reviews)
"Richards reflects on how rich life becomes when one travels her own best path....each page of this uplifting book will touch a chord in everyone who enjoyed her first book." (Booklist)

Proving the adage that a best seller is almost never followed up with another book as good as the first, Chosen Forever departs from the winning formula of Chosen by a Horse to focus on the neuroses, insecurities, and familial dysfunction of the author. I was hoping for a continuation of her story telling skills about animals. Instead, I got an almost day by day biography of her life after writing Chosen by a Horse, some of it so intimate that I felt like a voyeur.
The corner I kept hoping she'd turn never came.
I enjoyed this book , but not as much as the first one " Chosen by a Horse. " I did like the narrator, she has an easy voice to listen too.
Liked her voice.
