Before Liz Lemon, before "Weekend Update", before "Sarah Palin", Tina Fey was just a young girl with a dream: a recurring stress dream that she was being chased through a local airport by her middle-school gym teacher. She also had a dream that one day she would be a comedian on TV.
She has seen both of those dreams come true.
At last, Tina Fey's story can be told. From her youthful days as a vicious nerd to her tour of duty on Saturday Night Live; from her passionately halfhearted pursuit of physical beauty to her life as a mother eating things off the floor; from her one-sided college romance to her nearly fatal honeymoon - from the beginning of this paragraph to this final sentence.
Tina Fey reveals all, and proves what we've all suspected: you're no one until someone calls you bossy.
Includes special, never-before-solicited opinions on breastfeeding, princesses, Photoshop, the electoral process, and Italian rum cake!

"I hope that's not really the cover. That's really going to hurt sales." (Don Fey, Father of Tina Fey)
"Do not print this glowing recommendation of Tina Fey's book until I've been dead a hundred years." (Mark Twain)
"Hilarious and insightful. Laugh-out-loud funny - oh no, a full moon. No! Arrgh! Get away from me! Save yourself!" (A Guy Turning into a Werewolf)
I really hesitated over this purchase, because, with the exception of David Sedaris, I rarely find "comedic" books funny. Normally they try too hard, they're too obvious, they don't relate to real life, they're crass and rude, or just boring and not funny. What's more, I'm not a big SNL fan (though I enjoy weekly update), so this audiobook was not an obvious choice for me. What sold me was Tina.
This book made me laugh out loud in front of people on crowded London streets. It made me laugh out loud while going for runs in the park. Especially the parts about Tina's dad, which I found the best by far. What woman cannot relate to Tina's relationship with her dad?
But this book is not JUST funny. It's also very serious, especially on the topic of women in the workplace and women's roles in other women's lives. Tina draws some excellent parallels between comedy and life, a couple of which have stayed with me, and I've adopted them as personal mottos. This book made a very real contribution to my life in a way that extended beyond rhetoric and feminist mantras.
I appreciate Tina's intelligent humor, and I appreciate her reaching out her hand to all the other women and men out there who are going along in life, unsure about tomorrow and about their own abilities. This book guides without preaching. And of course it'll make you laugh.

Will again, absolutely.
It's a great and funny insight into a very brilliant and hilarious lady. Offers a unique perspective behind the scenes of some of the most sacred hallways of comedy.
I especially enjoyed hearing about her trials and triumphs at Second City, the landmark improv theater and school in Chicago.
Did not read the print...love the audio I think you need to hear her life in her voice!
Well it was a Bio but true to Tina Fey's life, comedy and personality...it is hilarious
HaHaHa....still laughing ....as about 'pads'
Do not listen while others are in the room....people will think your crazy as you laugh out loud
Audio book downloaded from Audible.com. Read by the author. Enjoyable and entertaining memoir, with some advice about being a female manager thrown in.
There were times that I was laughing OUT LOUD. I'm memorized at Fey's amazing wit. Just my kind of humor. I'm close to the same age so I could relate. I'd have to say, I enjoyed the portion of the book of her growing up the most.
There could be no other narrator. The performance was outstanding.

Who could it be but Tina?
I haven't, but I intend to seek them out with great vigor!
I can seen Russia from my house!
Lots of them. It's like she was in my head!
Laughed lots and lots. So familiar and comfy to listen to her voice.
I laughed through this entire book - Tina is the wittiest and downright funniest person I've ever had the pleasure of listening to. What a great gift to a runner...I actually had a smile on my face the entire book! The best!
Fairly low honestly. There have been so many great ones.
It was an autobiography-ish book. Real life just isn't that funny even if you are Tina Fey.
Tina. She was entertaining and did make me laugh. Just not what I expected entirely.
No. This was a book that I listened to when there wasn't anything on the radio.
Kind of entertaining but don't expect to be rolling on the floor. It's just not going to happen. I admire Tina's accomplishments but she's more fun on tv.
