Before Liz Lemon, before "Weekend Update", before "Sarah Palin", Tina Fey was just a young girl with a dream: a recurring stress dream that she was being chased through a local airport by her middle-school gym teacher. She also had a dream that one day she would be a comedian on TV.
She has seen both of those dreams come true.
At last, Tina Fey's story can be told. From her youthful days as a vicious nerd to her tour of duty on Saturday Night Live; from her passionately halfhearted pursuit of physical beauty to her life as a mother eating things off the floor; from her one-sided college romance to her nearly fatal honeymoon - from the beginning of this paragraph to this final sentence.
Tina Fey reveals all, and proves what we've all suspected: you're no one until someone calls you bossy.
Includes special, never-before-solicited opinions on breastfeeding, princesses, Photoshop, the electoral process, and Italian rum cake!

"I hope that's not really the cover. That's really going to hurt sales." (Don Fey, Father of Tina Fey)
"Do not print this glowing recommendation of Tina Fey's book until I've been dead a hundred years." (Mark Twain)
"Hilarious and insightful. Laugh-out-loud funny - oh no, a full moon. No! Arrgh! Get away from me! Save yourself!" (A Guy Turning into a Werewolf)
I'm rediscovering my passion in books. Reading and listening to stories gives me a great way to experience the world a page at a time.
Tina Fey's charm shines so bright in this book how can you not come back?
She wasn't a robot nor did she sound like a drama queen. It was like she was talking to me face to face. It was au natural.
I laughed. Hard. It was funny. It was smart and witty.
Say something about yourself!
I must not be a fan of comedian bios... this is so boring, I cannot even finish it.
Tina Fey is every reason you need to listen to this book. It was everything I wanted it to be!
The chapter when she talks about the work place.
I never really paid much attention to Tina. I saw a few snl skits and thought she was ok.as 30 rock I knew she was a star. Still I stop paying attention.. This audio book really allows us to relate to her. The fact that she narrates her own book is a plus .. It really brings a connection, you feel she is sharing her story personally with you.
I almost missed this book opportunity because of the price.
Tina narrating was awesome. Her voice tones were as friendly and animated as if I were sharing a story with a personal friend
I listened to the book in one weekend doing chores.
Kudos to Tina. Thank you for your silly stories you gained a fan!
After seeing Tina Fey on SNL and 30 Rock, I didn't see how this book could be anything but funny. But, really, it wasn't, in my opinion.
I laughed once, was amused a few times and kept hoping somewhere along the way, it would get better. The most interesting part of the book is how she came to play Sarah Palin on SNL.
I would highly recommend Billy Crystal's book, Still Foolin' Em, over this one, hands down. It entertained me from page one until the end. And no Tina Fey, it isn't because he is a guy and you are a woman.... he is simply funnier than you and tells a better story.
Tina Fey delivers her stories perfectly. The text by itself would have been funny but listening to her tell it was even better.
Yes :) and came close to.
Near the top, for when you just need a pick me up.
The cruise part was HILARIOUS! I was jogging and burst out laughing...and continued jogging and laughing...people were nearby....and I think I frightened them.
Her impressions, accents, and dry humor. Perfect narration.
I read this after the Game of Thrones books...much needed.
This is a great book to listen to when you think your life is just not going the way you want and you are not sure what to do...its good to know I'm not alone. That even famous people have the same wierd frutstrating anxious anoying and liberating life that I do. A good read - won't solve the national debt or cure cancer, but it will help you forget for a while.
Girl Power Love
Tina does an excellent job of giving insight into her life while keeping you laughing.
You are able to get a great idea about her tone much better with her reading it to you. I believe the audio is much more enjoyable.
Busy full time student and part-time fitness instructor. I'm a sucker for lattes and wine.
Tina Fey is absolutely amazing!! Hysterical!!! Great story teller. Extremely inspiring. I didn't become a fan of her until I read this book. She's different in that she's not the stereotypical "in your face" feminist (although I admire and adores those too), but rather, "please stop talking about how funny I am for a female". Very funny and very entertaining. I really enjoyed it. It's great for all, especially those who aspire to be in the screen writing, tv, radio, or theatre business.
Although very different stories and lives, I could compare it to Sheryl Sandberg's, "Lean In". I didn't realize how much of a feminist Tina Fey was. She's truly inspiring.
